XFX ProSeries exclusive SolidLinkTM Technology replaces wires - which cause wattage loss - with direct pin connections. The result is an extremely efficient high-power PSU. Also, with EasyRailTM Technology, you get one single rail for maximum power and easy set-up. In addition, this PSU has been awarded the 80 Plus PLATINUM certification for its high power efficiency.

  • newegg SolidLink Technology Traditional Full Modular PSUs tend to have a bundle of cables connected to the connector daughter board to generate heat which causes wattage loss. SolidLink Full Modular PSUs don’t have as many primary wires, instead XFX directly connects pin lag to the connector daughter board, which reduces heat generated by wires and minimizes energy loss, not only giving you clean, consistent high quality voltage, but also saving you money by drawing less wall power.
  • newegg EasyRail Technology XFX ProSeries PSUs with EasyRail Technology give you one continuous rail of power covering the total maximum wattage. What this means is that no matter how many devices you have, high or low power, they can easily stack until it reaches the full maximum wattage. With EasyRail technology you can maximize the potential of your PSU with ease.
  • newegg True Wattage Guarantee Wattage and heat go hand-in-hand. Other PSUs claim a certain wattage by using unrealistic testing environments like 25°C, but in real settings, they might reach much lower wattages. XFX PSUs guarantee the advertised wattage, even at well above standard operating conditions at 50°C.
  • newegg Efficient Power Use 80 Plus Gold certified means that this XFX PSU has a power efficiency of up to 90%. Compare that to non-certified PSUs, which lose at least 20% of power drawn. With the XFX PSU, get every watt you pay for.
  • newegg Extreme Heat Tested Capacitors Internal PC operating temperature is around 35°C but the internal PSU temperature can be much higher. XFX uses all high-quality Japanese brand capacitors rated to withstand up to 105°C. While some competitors claim to use Japanese capacitors, they may only be rated for 85°C, which can shorten the usable life of a PSU.
  • newegg Hybrid Fan Control Hybrid mode when activated, allows your fan to stay off when your computer is idle but turns on automatically when the PSU needs it. This PSU operates silently until it reaches 20% load or 25°C. After that, it will switch to Quiet Mode (only 16dBA). When it reaches 50% load, the cooling mode will be on to cool the PSU appropriately.

1 out of 5 eggsStopped working after two weeks

Pros: The product has nice specs, but I could take advantage of them because the PSU stopped working after two weeks

Cons: My computer has a pretty light configuration from the energy consumption perspective. However the PSU didn't last long. Hence, for the major cons is a reliability.

Other Thoughts: The XFX support is terrible. I would even say the worst I have seen so far from computer components suppliers.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsAll the cables I need + more

Pros: Love the looks of the power supply. Works great with my crossfire setup.

Cons: Cords are a bit snug but that’s because of the case I'm using. Would have loved it even more with better braiding on the cables but still a good value.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks nice, has tight voltages, runs pretty quietly.

Cons: The cables are pretty short and/or stiff. With a PSU of this magnitude, it should be expected that a large case would be used with a bottom-mounted PSU. The cables are too small in many cases, resulting in assembly being difficult and in some cases requiring the cables to be run across the front of the chassis instead of behind the motherboard tray (as with the 8-pin motherboard connector). I would've liked to see a few more inches on all the cables.

4 out of 5 eggsXFX Pro Series

Pros: Runs strong, cool, and quiet. Has a good modular design that allows plenty of room for expansion. An of course NewEgg is fast and awesome as normal. 5 Eggs on the unit itself.

Cons: Be sure to check the cables well, the unit I received had a wire pulled out. Upon checking further I found a few poorly crimped pins that needed replaced. 2 Eggs for the cables. This kind of thing happens from time to time and I am sure most of the cables are good. I am just glad I received this cable over someone that needed a drop-in unit since I have all the needed parts and tools to fix it.

Other Thoughts: I ended up making my own cables because they were too short for my build and I don't care for using extensions. I do build my own cases so the length issue is on me not XFX.

5 out of 5 eggsGets the job done

Pros: 104 amps available on a single 12v rail
fully modular

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: My rig consists of -

Gigabyte 990FX UD7
AMD FX4170
ATI HD5970 (overclocked)
ATI HD5870 x2

This PSU provided ample power to everything when my GPUs were at 99% load. I'm very satisfied with it.
