ProSeries 1250W PSU - 1250W Full Modular Edition Full Modular (Gold) - P1-1250-BEFX

Overview

SolidLink™ Power Supplies

Less Wire. Less Heat.

ProSeries 1250W PSU SolidLink Full Modular PSUs don't have as many primary wires, instead we use pin lag that directly connect to the connector daughter board.
ProSeries 1250W PSU Traditional Full Modular PSUs tend to have a bundle of cables which are connected to the connector daughter board which generate heat causing Wattage loss.

SolidLink™ Technology Difference

  • Drastically reduces the lost Wattage
  • Draw less wall power which save you money
  • Replaces traditional wired connections with direct pin to port connections.
  • Reduces heat generated by wires.
  • Reduces lost Wattage giving you clean, consistent high quality voltage.

Hybrid Fan Control

Quieter, Saves Power

ProSeries 1250W PSU Hybrid mode when activated, allows your fan to stay off when your computer is idle but turns on automatically when the PSU needs it.
  • Operates Silently until it reaches 20% load or 77°F (25°C)
  • Switches to Quiet Mode (only 16dBA)
  • Reaching 50% load which Cooling Mode to cool the PSU appropriately

The Wattage You See Isn't Always the Wattage You Get

Some brands tweak tests to get great Wattage ratings, but in reality, they deliver much lower max Wattages. Don't be fooled by Wattage tricks. Below are examples of how we guarantee our Wattage.

Continuous Power

Wattage and heat go hand-in-hand. Other PSUs claim a certain Wattage by using unrealistic testing environments like 25°C, but in real settings, they might reach much lower Wattages. XFX PSUs guarantee the advertised Wattage, even at well above standard operating conditions at 50°C.

Clean Power

Power drawn from your AC outlet is typically dirty with voltage spikes and fluctuations, which can harm vital PC components. XFX PSUs are designed to deliver tight DC voltage regulation with minimal AC ripple, giving you safer, cleaner power.

Efficient Power Use

80 Plus Gold certified means that this XFX PSU has a power efficiency of up to 90%. Compare that to non-certified PSUs, which lose at least 20% of power drawn. With the XFX PSU, get every watt you pay for.

Extreme Heat Tested Capacitors

Internal PC operating temperature is around 95°F (35°C) but the internal PSU temperature can be much higher. XFX uses all high-quality Japanese brand capacitors rated to withstand up to 221°F (105°C). While some competitors claim to use Japanese capacitors, they may only be rated for 185°F (85°C), which can shorten the usable life of a PSU.

Automatic Protection Sensors

All XFX PSUs come with automatic output protection systems to protect you and your computer. This includes Total Power Protection (OPP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Over Current Protection (OCP) and Short Circuit Protection (SCP)

  • Compatible with Intel Core i3, i5, i7 and AMD Phenom, FX
  • DC to DC Converter Design

Pros: Worked great for almost 1 year and 1 month

Cons: Unit now will not work unless I disconnect all power and wait. The waiting time seems to vary. It's all very frustrating. Just sent support ticket to XFX. Waiting for response. (Had unit tested today, it failed)

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsNot built to last

Pros: Looks nice and doesn't make much noise

Cons: This is my third one (fist one died as soon as i opened the box the second died 2 weeks later) which has been running just fine for about a year until once again it died.

Other Thoughts: if you have lots of money to waste it looks and run great but no telling how long it will last. this will be the last XFX power supply i ever buy.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello

The PSU has failed twice in a year? Perhaps there is something else aiding in the failure. Are you using a surge protector or over-loading the PSU?

Please contact us at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com if you, or anyone else for that matter, need assistance.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsBeast

Pros: This thing is a beast. Provides enough power to recharge a fleet of Teslas, and is rock solid stable. Powers 4 overclocked and power hungry GPUs plus a power hungry overclocked CPU, and it doesn't miss a beat.

I haven't actually looked, but the caps on this thing must be HUGE, as the power flashed for a couple of seconds and my computer kept right on running.

Also makes a good replacement for those expensive arc welders, see other thoughts.

Cons: Nothing yet, I plan to update with another review after I have had it for a year.

Other Thoughts: You need to be careful and make sure your connectors are plugged in firmly and make a good connection, as this thing is a single rail, and will push 130 amps into a short and melt metal, just check out some of the mishaps with bitcoin/litecoin mining rigs... This hasn't happened to me so far luckily.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid product

Pros: XFX makes good power supplies

Cons: Newegg specifically prohibits criticizing its customer service. So I won't. But you can think about why they'd have to put that on as a prohibition. Consider going to some other trusted vendor. Perhaps near a big South American river (can't name names either).

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our XFX support team at Neweggsupport@xfxforce.com.

1 out of 5 eggs2nd Thoughts

Pros: Worked great for 8 months.

Cons: Died after 8 months.

Other Thoughts: I originally gave this product a 5 egg review. But since it just died on me I wanted to update my review. After ready other reviews with similar issue. After registering online waiting 2 days for RMA authorization and paying $20 shipping, XFX did send me a brand new un-opened PSU. Total down time 2 weeks.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, We're glad we were able to replace this unit so quickly and appreciate you writing a review.
