Pro Series 1050W PSU P1-1050-BEFX

XFX ProSeries exclusive SolidLink™ Technology replaces wires - which cause Wattage loss - with direct pin connections. The result is a extremely efficient high-power PSU. Also, with EasyRail™ Technology, you get one single rail for maximum power and easy set-up.

SolidLink™ Power Supplies

Less Wire. Less Heat.

Pro Series 1050W PSU SolidLink Full Modular PSUs don't have as many primary wires, instead we use pin lag that directly connect to the connector daughter board.
Pro Series 1050W PSU Traditional Full Modular PSUs tend to have a bundle of cables which are connected to the connector daughter board which generate heat causing Wattage loss.

SolidLink™ Technology Difference

  • Drastically reduces the lost Wattage
  • Draw less wall power which save you money
  • Replaces traditional wired connections with direct pin to port connections.
  • Reduces heat generated by wires.
  • Reduces lost Wattage giving you clean, consistent high quality voltage.

Hybrid Fan Control

Quieter, Saves Power

Pro Series 1050W PSU Hybrid mode when activated, allows your fan to stay off when your computer is idle but turns on automatically when the PSU needs it.
  • Operates Silently until it reaches 20% load or 25°C
  • Switches to Quiet Mode (only 16dBA)
  • Reaching 50% load which Cooling Mode to cool the PSU appropriately

The Wattage You See Isn't Always the Wattage You Get

Some brands tweak tests to get great Wattage ratings, but in reality, they deliver much lower max Wattages. Don't be fooled by Wattage tricks. Below are examples of how we guarantee our Wattage.

Continuous Power

Wattage and heat go hand-in-hand. Other PSUs claim a certain Wattage by using unrealistic testing environments like 77°F (25°C), but in real settings, they might reach much lower Wattages. XFX PSUs guarantee the advertised Wattage, even at well above standard operating conditions at 112°F (50°C).

Clean Power

Power drawn from your AC outlet is typically dirty with voltage spikes and fluctuations, which can harm vital PC components. XFX PSUs are designed to deliver tight DC voltage regulation with minimal AC ripple, giving you safer, cleaner power.

Efficient Power Use

80 Plus Gold certified means that this XFX PSU has a power efficiency of up to 90%. Compare that to non-certified PSUs, which lose at least 20% of power drawn. With the XFX PSU, get every watt you pay for.

Extreme Heat Tested Capacitors

Internal PC operating temperature is around 35°C but the internal PSU temperature can be much higher. XFX uses all high-quality Japanese brand capacitors rated to withstand up to 105°C. While some competitors claim to use Japanese capacitors, they may only be rated for 85°C, which can shorten the usable life of a PSU.

Automatic Protection Sensors

All XFX PSUs come with automatic output protection systems to protect you and your computer. This includes Total Power Protection (OPP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Over Current Protection (OCP) and Short Circuit Protection (SCP)

4 out of 5 eggsGood power supply, recent hiccup

Pros: I purchased this (Sept of 2014) for my most recent build, and have had a good experience with it so far. As many other reviewers have stated, the installation was fairly easy, fit nicely in my NZXT case. The cables did seem a bit short when I opened the package, however it was not much of an issue in my build (except for the CD/DVD/media drive bay is a bit far, but thats more of a case layout than the power supply). I (unknowingly) used the hybrid mode since I had failed to read which way the switch was supposed to be to indicate "hybrid" versus "normal" mode, but either way it was served its purpose.

Cons: Recently (within the last 2 weeks) I was starting to experience some unexpected shutdowns from my system which shocked me a bit since I have always maintained a good and clean area for my rig, so I decided to check my temperatures to see if there was any overheating.

As far as I can tell, my temperatures are normal for whats expected from each piece of hardware in my system (checking with manufactures and looking up what values are acceptable), so I figure some hardware must be faulty. I tried booting several different ways (i.e with only mobo/drives connected, testing each stick of RAM..etc), but the only thing that seemed obvious to me was that my motherboard would fail to receive enough power during some boot ups, which would cause it to power cycle (on and off and on and off) for what seems like indefinitely until I would manually shut it down, unplug the PSU and try again later.

I believe the PSU has crapped out and I know the warranty is at least a couple of years so I will go ahead and contact support. Hopefully they get back to me fairly quickly, or at least point me in the right direction.

3 out of 5 eggsSolid PSU with some issues

Pros: The unit itself is excellent.

Cons: Cables are very short and rigid. Building in an Enthoo pro case, the CPU power cable is TOO SHORT to properly route behind the motherboard. Also, the cover over the cables frays extremely easy.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Nathan,

We're sorry you are displeased with your wires/cables. If you would like a new set, please let us know.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent, but cabling could be better.

Pros: Works as described. Has more than sufficient power for my nVidia 970.

Cons: The cabling (esp for the main board) is thick and does not bend well through my case.

Other Thoughts: I always have the PSU fan on.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsnope

Pros: plenty of power for me

Cons: the first one i got was DOA. i dont usually write things off after an incident like this because its fairly common in the pc building world. the situation was quickly dealt with and i had a knew one in about a week.
the second one i didnt install immediately because i was using a back up i had and also had some upgrades coming, so i did it all at once. i turned hybrid mode off just because id rather it be cool than power efficient. i turned it on and it ran fine for about an 1 hour then it went down. i could bout it back up until i drained all power from my system. this process repeated twice and i turned hybrid just to see what would happen. well that worked for about a month and now its crashed three times. the bios tells me mobo is shutting down the pc because of power surges coming from the supply .

Other Thoughts: i also owned a 750 of the same line that i liked. it died on me and took my cpu cooler with it prior to this (thus the back up). i bought the larger one just for overkill and easy swap, same cables n such. too bad those cables were different anyway.

in the end im dissapointed and recommend you avoid these. also, i think seasonic should get more involved with xfx to ensure their own reputation isnt tarnished.

Manufacturer Response:

We're sorry you had an issue with this PSU. 2x 1050W Gold power supplies back to back dieing is highly irregular and I would definately consider testing more outlets, surge protectors and UPC's

If there's anything else i can do to help resolve this issue, please let me know.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked Great for 3 weeks

Pros: Easy installation, modular cables are nice, The hybrid fan switch is a nice feature.

Cons: Although I bought it several months back, I only recently installed and started using it. Total in use time, (I kept pc on pretty much 24/7), is less than 3 weeks, before it died. I turned off computer, and when I tried to power it back on - nothing. No warning, no smoke or burnt smell. Computer tries to start briefly, then immediately dies as if it can not handle the load. Tried in a different computer, on a different ac circuit, same results. Originally I had it plugged into a 1200W UPS, and we did not have any power outages during this time. For a $200+ power supply, I expected a lot more.

Other Thoughts: After reading some of the other reviews, I am not looking forward to dealing with their customer service and/or service tech. I definitely will not be recommending this pws to my customers.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Jim,

We're sorry you had issues with your PSU. If you have'nt already created a ticket at, please do so.

Thank you

4 out of 5 eggsStrong unit, great performance

Pros: Unit is fully modular and makes a nice clean install. The sleeved cables makes it easy to route through my case. All in all, it runs like a champ. Only had it about a week so far, but no issues.

Cons: The sleeved cables are quite stiff which made it somewhat difficult to get them where I needed them. Not necessarily a con, but the unit was a bit longer than I originally thought that it would be but fit in my case with no issues.

Other Thoughts: I'm in the middle of upgrading my rig, but unfortunately I have to do it in pieces and this was the second part. Moving from an AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black to an FX-8350 (I'm seeing the reviews on the 9590 and not really thinking that's the best bang for my buck).

Thermaltake Armor A-90 case
Gigabyte 890FX-UD5 mobo
Phenom II X4 965 Black w/Hyper 212 EVO fan
XFX Radeon HD 7770 Core Edition
Sound Blaster Titanium X-Fi (I needed the digital line in for a while for my PS3)
128 GB Samsung EVO 840 SSD + 1TB WD Black

Planned build
ASUS ROG Crosshair V Formula Z (already bought)
AMD FX-8350
16GB AMD Performance DDR3-1866 RAM
Corsair H100i cooler (already bought...may go the Swiftech Ultima route if I get $400 to shell out for it...built the loop for a friend and love the results)
ASUS ROG Striker Geforce GTX 760
I'll probably get a larger SSD also eventually.

5 out of 5 eggsFriggn Awesome

Pros: Fully modular means only plug in what you need, and if the need arises. you can take out just the box of the psu without opening the back of your case where all the cables are stuffed.
Beefy power cut off switch so you dont have to search for it if the i/o area is poorly lit.
Unique visual design of the metal of this unit.
Powers anything you want pretty much, see other thoughts for what i've put it through.
I rarely shut my computer off and this thing has not failed me yet even when folding for weeks straight.
i've owned the power supply almost a year.

Cons: The cables are a little stiff while trying to plug into the main unit if it is already installed in the case. you have to account for the extra length the braided and heatshrinked cable ends need.

Other Thoughts: System specs:
Asus Maximus Extreme IV Z68 motherboard
i7 2600k @4.4Ghz being cooled by a thermaltake water 2.0 extreme dual 120mm CLC with 4 fans, push/pull.
16gb of gskill sniper ram @1866MHz
2 x msi gtx 680 lightning cards, Core clock @1267 mem @ 3500
5 mechanical hard drives at 4tb, 4tb, 3tb, 2tb, and 1tb.
1 ssd, PNY 240gb
xfx 1050W fully modular black edition power supply.

At one point i had both my 680s and a 780 running full load while folding along with having the cpu folding as well. For those of you who don't know, folding puts a full load on your cpu and gpu.
