SolidLink™ Power Supplies

Less Wire, Less Heat

SolidLink Full Modular PSUs don't have as many primary wires, instead we use pin lag that directly connects to the connector daughter board.

ProSeries 850W PSU Traditional fully modular PSUs tend to have a bundle of cables connected to the daughter board which generate heat, causing Wattage loss.

SolidLink™ Technology Difference

  • Drastically reduces the lost Wattage
  • Draw less wall power which save you money
  • Replaces traditional wired connections with direct pin to port connections.
  • Reduces heat generated by wires.
  • Reduces lost Wattage giving you clean, consistent high quality voltage.

Hybrid Fan Control

Quieter, Saves Power

Hybrid mode when activated, allows your fan to stay off when your computer is idle but turns on automatically when the PSU needs it.

  • Operates Silently until it reaches 20% load or 25°C
  • Switches to Quiet Mode (only 16dBA)
  • Reaching 50% load which Cooling Mode to cool the PSU appropriately

5 out of 5 eggsVery pleased

Pros: It looks good, stylish. The fan is very quiet. Plenty of power.

Cons: It's only semi-modular, but I knew that when I bought it. Just be aware of that.

Other Thoughts: After a year and two months of rigorous gaming and daily use it's still going strong. I would definitely recommend it.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review! We are very happy you are pleased.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent power supply

Pros: its just a rebranned seasonic
works well, everything I need and have room to upgrade if I need to.

Cons: I wish cables were longer and more sturdy.
I 8pin cpu power cable was barely long enough for my case, I wish, it was a really tight squeeze to make it fit.

4 out of 5 eggsXFX 750W Power Supply

Pros: This power supply has functioned quietly and without a hitch. I have no complaints. Wrapped cables for easy routing.

Cons: I hoped for a power supply with a ball-bearing fan. This fan is sleeved, but it was part of the combo. Also, it's not completely modular and has some cords being permanently attached to the power supply.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review. We appreciate the positive feedback.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Solid

Pros: I've had this for going on 16 months. It's on almost everyday all day. It was powering a rig with an A10-5800k, 8GB of RAM, and a ton of HDDs. As of 6 months ago, it's been powering an i7-4770K, 2 7950's, an H80i, 12GB of RAM, 2 SSDs, and 4 2TB HDDs. The i7 is clocked at 4.7Ghz and the 7950s are at 1200mhz. I've not had a single problem, but will return and write a review if I do. I'm pushing this thing hard and so far A+ for me.

Cons: I don't like the flat, ribbon-like cables. They're very hard to tie up and make them look neat.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review!

1 out of 5 eggsCrashes to black screen

Pros: Price, specs, cables, Newegg shipped it fast.

Cons: With only a Geforce gtx 460 and an Intel Q9450 my computer crashes completely in any game. With a different power supply I have perfect stability. Obviously I am having an issue. Probably to do with over current or power protection. All voltages read normal at bios and in windows.

XFX has not responded to my trouble ticket yet (2 days) so until then I can not recommend this PSU.

I was previously a radar technician, going back to school full time for electrical engineering.

Other Thoughts: Frankly XFXs support website is atrocious. Definitely evasive.

You know I bought a cellphone case that fell apart and I emailed the company. 3 days later I had a new one in my mailbox. I paid 11 dollars for that case. I know theres more to it with electronics, but I expect better response the more money I pay. Fine the process should take longer. But at least a response lieing to me saying someone is looking at my trouble ticket.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Telly,

We're sorry you are having issues with your PSU. Please contact us with your ticket # and we can forward it to our tech support team to have it reviewed.

Thank you

4 out of 5 eggsStable

Pros: Stable.
Delivers what it says it would.

Cons: A bit loud even on half load.

Other Thoughts: I was running bitcoin miners on this PSU. Had 5 ASICMiner blades connected, all on 12V, which is close to its maximum 12V rated amperage.
Runs completely fine, although the fan really starts spinning quite hard and makes quite a bit of wind noise.
I guess the only true path to less noise is to increase efficiency, as at 750W, even a 2% efficiency difference means 15W of extra heat generated by the PSU itself, requiring more cooling.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review. If you have any questions regarding your unit, please contact us to let us know.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Works, Modular, 5 Year warranty if you go through the trouble of registering your product

Cons: Cables somewhat on the short end.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review! As always... If you have any questions, feel free to contact us and let us know. neweggsupport@xfxforce.com

- We dont make larger cables, but the stock cables should fit every standard case size with wiggle room to hide cables if desired.
