5 out of 5 eggsVery Solid

This review is from: XFX P1-750X-XXB9 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: I've had this for going on 16 months. It's on almost everyday all day. It was powering a rig with an A10-5800k, 8GB of RAM, and a ton of HDDs. As of 6 months ago, it's been powering an i7-4770K, 2 7950's, an H80i, 12GB of RAM, 2 SSDs, and 4 2TB HDDs. The i7 is clocked at 4.7Ghz and the 7950s are at 1200mhz. I've not had a single problem, but will return and write a review if I do. I'm pushing this thing hard and so far A+ for me.

Cons: I don't like the flat, ribbon-like cables. They're very hard to tie up and make them look neat.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsCrashes to black screen

This review is from: XFX P1-750X-XXB9 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Price, specs, cables, Newegg shipped it fast.

Cons: With only a Geforce gtx 460 and an Intel Q9450 my computer crashes completely in any game. With a different power supply I have perfect stability. Obviously I am having an issue. Probably to do with over current or power protection. All voltages read normal at bios and in windows.

XFX has not responded to my trouble ticket yet (2 days) so until then I can not recommend this PSU.

I was previously a radar technician, going back to school full time for electrical engineering.

Other Thoughts: Frankly XFXs support website is atrocious. Definitely evasive.

You know I bought a cellphone case that fell apart and I emailed the company. 3 days later I had a new one in my mailbox. I paid 11 dollars for that case. I know theres more to it with electronics, but I expect better response the more money I pay. Fine the process should take longer. But at least a response lieing to me saying someone is looking at my trouble ticket.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Telly,

We're sorry you are having issues with your PSU. Please contact us with your ticket # and we can forward it to our tech support team to have it reviewed.

Thank you

4 out of 5 eggsStable

This review is from: XFX P1-750X-XXB9 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Stable.
Delivers what it says it would.

Cons: A bit loud even on half load.

Other Thoughts: I was running bitcoin miners on this PSU. Had 5 ASICMiner blades connected, all on 12V, which is close to its maximum 12V rated amperage.
Runs completely fine, although the fan really starts spinning quite hard and makes quite a bit of wind noise.
I guess the only true path to less noise is to increase efficiency, as at 750W, even a 2% efficiency difference means 15W of extra heat generated by the PSU itself, requiring more cooling.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review. If you have any questions regarding your unit, please contact us to let us know.

Pros: Works, Modular, 5 Year warranty if you go through the trouble of registering your product

- We dont make larger cables, but the stock cables should fit every standard case size with wiggle room to hide cables if desired.

2 out of 5 eggsI dont know what to say?

This review is from: XFX P1-750X-XXB9 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: -Looks good
-Well built
-Supports both SLI and Crossfire
-5 year warranty

Cons: -Absolutely terrible support!
-Made this high pitched noise when on

Other Thoughts: I like this power supply very much, I got it for $55, $15 off plus $30 rebate!

So when I got this PSU I immediately did the rebate, I got it in about 3 weeks, but one thing, it requires you to cut out the bar code which is needed to register your component on their website. Not only is it a kind of do it yourself, register everything and just wait for it being approved but you can hardly navigate through it! It requires me to give my products serial number to get support for the noise mine makes but I cant do it because of the barcode! I just made a ticket that Im not even sure it was supposed to be on and just sent it. You have to give your phone number away so they can call you, why not you email?!? Its not that hard to contact someone that way! I would rather just email someone because I usually call by the time they are closed and its just so much of a hassle! Im not saying you shouldnt shouldnt get this but I;m just so frustrated! I will update when I get the support that I need.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsPower!!!

This review is from: XFX P1-750X-XXB9 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Good build, having it semi-modular is also very nice for cable management, comes with a lot of cool and useful power adapters. SLI ready!

Cons: The cords that are non-modular are not quite as pretty and clean as the modular ones, it was also a little difficult do bend the PCI-E connectors (Both 6/8 pin) close enough to connect to the same card. I was still able to get them in with a little coercion. Not enough of a con to knock an egg of but just something to be aware of.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great PSU. Am very satisfied with this purchase.
