2 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: I really like the cabling that came with this unit. The cables do not feel cheap. No power issues and seems very reliable. Feels solid when holding unit and that high quality components were used.

Cons: This power supply is not quiet at all. The noise this thing makes drives me insane. When I first bought the power supply the fan would kick on every 5-15 minutes depending on noise. At first I thought this would not bother me since I normally use headphones, however I can hear the fan even with those on.

I decided to connect up another system fan, because I only had my water cooler thinking the fan was turning on since it is supposed to be thermal controlled. This only made the situation worse and now the fan will turn on for a few seconds, turn off and then almost immediately turn back on.

I am willing to bet that if the fan stayed on that I would eventually drown it out as background noise, however since it stops and turns on again I never drown out the noise and it is very annoying.

I have bought a new power supply to replace this one.

Other Thoughts: No issues with the performance of the device, just very noisy and unbearable.

I bought a replacement power supply because of how noisy this one is.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: The cabling is well done compared to several other power supplies I have purchased.

Cons: The fan turns on more often and is louder than I expected. Only docked one egg, my old computer was very loud so this does not bug me.

I would say, depending on power draw, the fan turns on every 5 to 15 minutes. The amount of time it stays on also varies.

Other Thoughts: When the fan is off though, my system is very quiet.
