If you're going to swim with the sharks it's best to have one on your side. This is the Shark SP-635 PSU from Sigma, and it can help you put the bite on your opponents. This 635W unit has dual 20A +12V rails for stable efficient power distribution. It comes with a full set of connectors including dual 6-pin PCIe, 4 SATA and 8 Molex so you can load your system however you want to.

Heat dissipation is a major concern and Sigma has it down cold. The aluminum chassis has ribbed sides for extra surface area to aid in heat dissipation. Two 80mm fans pull air through the honeycomb mesh keeping the unit cool and running at maximum efficiency. The Shark Fins at the bottom of the PSU that pull heat away from the internal components. With the PSU running cool you can enter that hot and heavy firefight without worrying about your equipment.

Power to the People!

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Powers my entire system and then some. I can't really hear the two 80mm fans at all. Of course sitting inside an Antec P182 case the PSU fans noise is non existent. I ran Crysis, Dead Space and Fallout 3 back-to-back for 6 hours straight and put my hand in front of the exhaust vents for the PSU and it was barely warm. It didn't even break a sweat at heavy game play. Impressive is a word I could use for this PSU. A three year warranty is definately a plus as most other companies warrant their PSU's at either one or two years.
Cons: An extensive review I had read at a site on the net had stated that there was a lot of caulk work and it uses Teapo capacitors was kind of a sloppy internal workmanship on Sigma's part. Having knowledge of electronic components I know that Teapo Caps are sort of on the cheap side of Caps. I would think for such handsome workmanship on the casing they would have put forth the same for the electrical components inside as-well. Also the review stated that it was originaly setup for a single fan but that the two fans were terminated as spliced together and then soldered into place. These are just some of the tid bits that I wouldn't really worry about but that could have been improved upon. This is the only reason I gave it four eggs instead of five.
Other Thoughts: I almost bought an Apevia and a CoolerMax but all the Apevia's I looked at only had a one year warranty. The one CoolerMax I looked at had a two year warranty, was rated at 750W and was $135. Would have been nice but a little out of my price range. Sigma is I believe actually owned by CoolerMax. Of course I could have mis read that. This PSU can power this system:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
4GB (1GB x 4) GeIL Ultra DDR2 800 PC2 6400
2, 1TB WD SATA HDD's
Samsung DVD +-R/RW combo optical drive
LG DVD +-R/RW combo optical drive
HIS Radeon HD 4870 Turbo 512MB (256bit) GDDR5 video
Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Extreme Gamer sound card
Buffalo NAS drive

Very Good Power Supply

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Very long cables with enough outputs to satisfy my need to expand even more. Seems to be pretty good quality and hasn't given me any problems yet.
Cons: Blue LED light is kind of annoying if the computer is left on in the dark, and I had a little trouble mounting it in the case. It seems it was a few millimeters too large.

Pros: Cool blue lights, wrapped cables. Currently powering an i7 @ 4.ghz on air and a gtx 280.
Cons: It did not have the right connectors for my gtx 280 so i had to use an adapter... which makes me wonder if my card is powered sufficiently. It also pumps out alot of heat compared to friends builds i have thrown together.
Other Thoughts: No problems so far!

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: It didn't arrive dead, had plenty of connectors available and the cables were long enough but not to long to suit my needs.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: The intake and exhaust fans point down, which could be a problem if your case isn't raised. Went well with a cooler master-rc-690-kkn1-gp case.

Pros: Pretty cool looking, high power rating and quiet.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Too many wires as always, but I knew this wasn't modular. I would rather have too many than not enough.
