1 out of 5 eggsNo more than a USB hub...

Pros: Extra USB ports.

Cons: The card reader never read any card I tried. (CF, SD, MicroSD) I thought it may be because I was on a hackintosh but then I booted up in windows and it didn't work there either. That's the problem when you don't offer drivers with your product, you can't fix anything. In my experience, it was a waste of $60.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works fine as long as long as it has good dedicated PSU SATA rail.

Pros: Works fine in Widows 10. Four USB3 Ports into a single 20 pin cable and multi card reader. All USB3 ports worked with multiple things plugged in at once but I had to give this thing its own dedicated PSU SATA rail to do it. Otherwise a wireless mouse plugged into 1 of the USB3 ports would start to do stutter bad with other things plugged into other USB3 ports. That is normally the case though with any USB3 port card. They need lots of power if you plan on loading every port up at the same time. The blue light also works but only when a flash card is inserted for it to read.

Cons: The price of course. It ain't cheap.

Other Thoughts: It does what it says it does and has no equal that I could find on Newegg so the choice for me to buy it was pretty easy actually.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat update to a classic

Pros: They got rid of the large white brand logo and model number on the previous USB 2 version, it "blends in" better and looks more professional. It now has 4 USB ports, vs. 1 on the previous model. Rock solid. Takes microSD cards without adapter. Reads & writes to just about anything out there.

Cons: Price, price, price.

Note: I had to search their site and download a driver package to get it to work correctly on W10. The drivers did not come with the item and were not mentioned. Perhaps this is why some negative reviews?

Other Thoughts: I have tossed quite a few of the cheap card reader bay devices in the past years, everything from shorting out to damaging cards. This is the one brand/model I trust. I'm moving my old trusty USB 2 version to another workstation that doesn't have USB 3, and speed is not critical.

1 out of 5 eggsUseless

Pros: 4 more USB Ports

Cons: Super Heavy Duty internal SATA cord
None of the card readers work..

Other Thoughts: Would've been great but.. None of the actual card readers on the thing work, which is kind of detrimental considering that's the only reason I purchased it. I've fiddled with this to make it work, tried different connection combinations, also tried finding utilities or software for it which I could not. No installation package came with it, therefore I settled with it being DOA

1 out of 5 eggsZero Eggs really. Destroyed My 128gb PNY USB 3.0 drive ----Atech Flash Technology PRO-77U Flash Reader USB 3.0 5.25" Hub & Card Reader-

Pros: I only gave it 1 egg because I had to. It should be rated 0 eggs
Liked nothing - Piece of Trash!!!!
Good form factor, test with old usb drive if you must.

Cons: Destroyed my 6 month old PNY 128gb USB Drive. Plugged unit in woth power (SATA). Drive letters showed up.
Tested with my usb 3.0 drive. Light stayed on on the drive but no drive letter. Shut down computer and inserted the drive into another port on the devide. Same thing. Shut down computer. unhooked Por-77u and restarted the computer. Tried a USB 3.0 port on the motherboard. No drive letter. Tried disk manager, Shows as drive with 0bytes. Tried this on another computer, same thing.
Bricked my 128 USB Drive. Didn't want to try a media card in it after this.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this device to no one. Will be returning it for fefund or credit. Would like for them to replace my now nonfunctioning USB drive.

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate to previous review

Pros: Support responded quickly to help me solve my problem. Since i can't edit my old 1 egg review to reflect that, here's a new one with 4 eggs.

Cons: Had to update firmware in order to get it to work.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Couldn't say.

Cons: Dead on arrival.

Other Thoughts: Missed the return window due to the 6700k delay. Going to see how their warranty service is. Will update egg rating depending on how that goes.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Lots of ports

Cons: None of them work.

Unit was DOA. Triple-checked connections, and still a brick.

The USB header cords are too long and too heavy for an internal config, but that's easy enough to work around.

5 out of 5 eggsClean install and plenty of 3.0 ports.

Pros: The best feature of this card reader isn't size, cards supported, or USB ports on the front panel, it's how clean it installs.

With one single MoBo USB 3.0 cable and one sata power connector you've got everything connected.

Sure there's no eSATA and no audio but those just create a bigger mess of cables to manage during your install.

Cons: It would have been nice to have a SATA power spliter included.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Tested it and works great, I have not a single failure with this. Has USB 3 ports, reads all kind of flash cards, what more can you ask for? The design itself is very cool.

Cons: The price
