1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Quiet at common load levels. Power meter is a neat gadget

Cons: Crashes, isn't stable.

I bought one and put it in a 100% stable for years system. Random crashes started and the system rarely ran for more than a hour. RMA'd it and Newegg provided good service.

Second one did same thing, so I swaped into system an low and behold it was actually good there. I assumed some sort of compatibility issue with one type of motherboard.

Couple of months later I've got a brand new ASUS X99 deluxe and nothing but random crashes. Swap a different powersupply in and its 100% good.

So 2 out of 3 motherboards I have on hand won't work with a 700w astro. I'd skip it if I were you.

Other Thoughts: Tried contacting them and the first question was "what country are you?" lol

1 out of 5 eggsWorst Product Encountered

Pros: It didn't physically harm my family. It's quiet.

Cons: It's expensive, which is fine for working products. It's fan runs making you think it's not going to crash your system randomly but then it does crash the system.

Other Thoughts: I thought it was working because the fan ran ... eventually and the system was working for about an hour, then everything crashed. I didn't have a working PSU to compare against at the time, so I tried replacing the CPU, RAM, motherboard, and video card to no avail. Eventually I teamed up with a technician friend of mine with a spare PSU. We confirmed the problem was the PSU. It probably gives unstable voltage, either way it is the problem.

The return process was horrible. I was given the run-around and it was difficult to communicate with the Chinese/American representative - not because of language barriers but because the rep didn't reply promptly or with information such as RMA number and return address until I specifically asked for each. I (A+ certified) and my technician friend also A+ certified confirmed the problem by swapping parts and performing an installation until this PSU and only this PSU caused the system to crash while still keeping the fans on. The company probably doesn't do adequate quality control - 'fan's on? OK let's ship it'. I didn't get a refund for the shipping, which added insult to injury.

Save your box if you are brave enough to purchase this!

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Power Source

Pros: Fit perfectly into my Cooler Master case and powered up without a hitch. With integrated graphics and SSD, the power meter on the back barely broke a sweat. I'm sure that will change once the GPUs in SLI and installed.

Cons: Nothing at this time

Other Thoughts: Great selection of cables allowed me to connect all my accessories with minimal number of cables and maximize air flow within the case.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, but a little overkill for my system!

Pros: It fit my BitFenix Prodigy
Quiet

Cons: Cannot turn off the lights

Other Thoughts: I swapped out my SilverStone SFX PSU for this. The 450W 80+ Bronze was crashing my computer when the hard drives starts spinning a lot, and I got tired of it. With this PSU, I've fully loaded my computer with HDDs with no issues. According to the power meter, I'm using very little power, which is to be expected. This PSU is probably way overkill for my system. I was considering an Antec Earthwatt 650W 80+ Platinum, and found this to be just $5 more at the time. So I got this instead.
