Silverstone's Decathalon series PSUs are designed to deliver maximum power with stark efficiency. Instead of bumping up cost and complexity by using multiple +12V rails, the DA650 has 1 extremely robust 54A rail. The Active PFC and >80% efficiency rating ensure that no power is wasted.
The power connectors are fully modular. This lets you use only the connections you need. Any extra cables can go back into the handy carry bag, so you can find them when you upgrade. The cables are all sheathed to de-clutter the inside of the case, enhancing airflow.
There is a 120mm fan on the bottom of the PSU to move extreme amounts of air to keep everything cool. The back panel is a honeycomb mesh broken only by a switch, and the power plug for virtually unrestricted airflow. Go ahead; build the system of your dreams, the DA650 can handle it.

PCP&C pwnrer
- Pros: It works well, has powered Quads Duos, GTS's, GTX's and a 1GB Pro
also lotsa fans, 3 HDD and 2 opticals.
- Cons: It wasn't free and came with no busty blonde for LAN party entertainment.
- Other Thoughts: Buy one, you wont regret it.

- Pros: As an addendum to my review below, I'd like to add that Silverstone will be sending me a new cable free of charge. Can't beat that! In addition to their fine products they seem to have a pretty well-run operation. I'll definitely be using their stuff in my future builds.

GET THIS ONE! IT ROCKS!
- Pros: NO ISSUES! Works great, even with 10 hard drives, 2 vid cards, and alot of extra's in the case (2 dvd writers, cathode lights, 6 fans, etc. etc,). When you take this out of the box you'll want help from a friend, it's HEAVY. Comparing this to a typical psu that comes with most cases is like comparing a Ferrari to a Toyota. Just from looking at the two items side by side you will begin to form your own opinion. This is a bit larger from front to back, than most power supplies, so be advised of that. The modular cables have tight releases, and this ensures they stay in place forever. I would buy another one of these in a heartbeat. Active Power Factor Correction, so if the power dips low, you don't smoke yer valuable computer gear..it just shuts off, instead. 120mm fan..
- Cons: Slightly deeper than some other power supplies, this is to accomodate the modular cables. Benefit is well worth this small drawback. Rather than redesign a great psu, they ADDED the modular section, making the psu deeper. VERY HEAVY unit, but again this is NOT a bad thing, it is a good sign that they use a large heatsink inside the box. The box itself is also ALOT thicker than most cheaper or even same-priced psu's..causing more weight. If you have a good quality case, this should NOT be a problem at all. If it is a problem, upgrade your case (because it sucks).
- Other Thoughts: GET IT. The cables are long, and they include plenty in the kit. The company uses REAL ratings, not ones that it might be possible to get to just before the thing smokes and dies. This is a reputable company, and they know what they're doing. You get what you pay for. With this you get a PSU that will last you many years, and put up with whatever you throw at it. This can run at it's rated amount at 45degrees celcius for years. Not many power supplies can put up with that kind of heat at all, let alone continue working.
One year limit
- Pros: Worked great for one year.
- Cons: 385 days after ordering this power supply, it has crapped out on me.
