Silverstone's Olympia series PSUs are designed to deliver maximum power with stark simplicity. Instead of bumping up the cost and complexity by using multiple +12V rails the OP1000-E has 1 extremely robust 80A rail. The Active PFC and >80% efficiency rating ensure no power is wasted.
It is CrossFire X Certified with 6x6-pin and 2x8-pin PCIe connectors. There are also 6 SATA connectors for all of your high speed drives. The cables are partially mesh sleeved to increase air flow and to make management easier.

Bad Power Supply, Poor Support.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Died within a minute of turning it on. Digital Doctor 5 shows 12v rail is totally unstable (swings from .5v to 20v without warning). Fried a motherboard, hard drive, and video card.
Sent the bad unit in for RMA, received a 'replacement' from Silverstone. The replacement was scratched and dinged. It did not work *AT ALL* from the start, and exhibited similar behavior to the one I got initially.
- Other Thoughts: This was my first Silverstone purchase, and it is also my last. I will never purchase from a company that sends bad units as replacements. I've now been without my own computer at home for a month, and am having to wait even longer.

Manufacturer Response:Thank you very much for purchasing a SilverStone. Please note that OP1000-E has independent ground design so voltage measurements must be taken with this in consideration. We have a detailed explanation at our Q&A page in the below link: http://www.silverstonetek.com/qa/qa_contents.php?pno=OP1000-E&area=usa We do not recommend powering up this power supply and connecting to other components by shorting the ground for +5V/+3.3V and power from the +12V.
Not DUAL EPS 8-pin 12V
- Pros: The many cables are covered nicely. A single rail is going to be a pleasure on my machine which will be used for DFT calculations
- Cons: There are NOT two EPS 8-pin connectors on this power supply as suggested in the specifications. There are six 6-pin PCI-E connectors (two of which are 6+2 for those who need 8-pin PCI-E), one 20+4 pin main connection, one EPS 8-pin (12V), one ATX 4-pin (12V), six SATA, six 4-pin MOLEX, and two floppy connections.
- Other Thoughts: I will be using this power supply to power a 16-core Barcelona (8350) motherboard. For those who want to do the same, I would suggest buying a few adapters: (2) 4-pin MOLEX to ATX 4-pin N82E16812200084 , and (1) ATX 4-pin to EPS 8-pin N82E16812201005

DOA
- Pros: Nice color.
I would have given it ZERO eggs, but this review page would allow zero eggs.
- Cons: As the other individual said.....it died within one min of turning it on. Additionally I noticed a few of the connectors had slightly mishaped male and female leads. This made it very hard to push on a connection to a device.
- Other Thoughts: I now have to go through Silverstone for warranty because it is just over 30 days from Newegg. I will follow-up here if Silverstone gives me a hard time on this.
Great
- Pros: -No Noise
-Tons of connectors -Long length cables -No failures -Labeled Cables (for those who maybe confused)
I've had this PSU for some time in my enthusiast rig, and only until a few of my clients have been having PSU failures that I really appreciate mine. The cables are long enough that I can route them any which way in a massive case like my Antec 1200. I can't hear any noise from the fan despite the fact that it's powering so many components. All the extra wires stay bundled up in a drive bay if I ever need them.
- Cons: -Not Modular (doesn't matter in my Antec 1200)
-Doesn't have an indicator telling me how much wattage I'm using (but what does?) -Not hot enough to help toast bread like my 4870x2
- Other Thoughts: Having a working reliable PSU is something I take for granted. This is that working reliable PSU.
Good...
- Pros: 1.- Pretty cheap.
2.- Works amazing with my system : Asrock x58 deluxe i7 920 @ 3.2 Ghz GTX 285 6 GB of ram DDR3 3 fans 200 mm
- Cons: You can not take the cables out, so, you will need a big case, since the cables that you won't be using will still be using space.
