You've just upgraded to an SLI or Crossfire video card, and now you need a little more power from your power supply. Silverstone just might be the answer to your need.
Rated at 700 Watts and greater than 80% efficiency, it also features RoHS compliance and active power factor control, making this one of the "greener" power supplies around. Modular cables allow you to install only as much cabling as you actually need. This saves room and preserves clear airflow inside your case. Four +12Vdc rails for clean but heavy-duty power distribution, while 100K hours MTBF means reliability.
With four PCI-E6 and one PCI-E8 connections, two floppy drive and six peripheral and six SATA connections, you won't run out of connectors soon. Whether you're running a server or you're a hard-core gamer, this power supply can do the job. Check out the specs for yourself and decide, but this could be the power supply you need.

Great!!!
- Pros: Plenty of cables for everything i will ever need to power up my computer. The modular cable support is sweet and allows me to keep the inside of my case clean and organized. This supply has enough juice for 4870s in crossfire, 3 hdds ( 2 in RAID0, 1 nonRAID) , and more!
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: Seriously, modular power supplies are the way to go. I remember back in the days when i had to smoosh in the extra power cables into a 5.25 bay to get them out of the way, and even then it was still somewhat messy.
AWESOME!!
- Pros: What can I say, its modualr which is the best for cable management, its stable, its very quiet and there are no bright led's.
- Cons: Absolutely none!!!
- Other Thoughts: My computer
Case: Thermaltake TX MOBO: Gigabyte GA-MA78GPM-DS2H (rev. 1.0) Processor: AMD Phenom 9850 BLACK EDITION 2.5GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 2MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core HSF: ZALMAN CNPS 9700 NT RAM: 8 gigs of OCZ Reaper HPC Edition DDR2 1066 Video: DIAMOND Viper 3870PE4512SB Radeon HD 3870 512MB 256-bit GDDR4 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HD: 1 Seagate 500g 16meg cache sata 2 2 SilenX IXP-76-18 120mm fans up front, 3 Thermaltake fans in back
I havent benchmarked the comptuer as of yet, but it idles at 82 degrees ferinheit and goes up to 112 degrees ferinheit running Crysis, all settings at high. PSU performs with no problems at all!! Going with a modular Silverstone on all future builds!!!

Great performer.
- Pros: -Fully Modular Cabling
-135mm fan moves a lot of air with low noise generation -Supports SLI -700w is more than enough power
- Cons: -No on/off switch. Not really a con, just different.
-Being fully modular is unnecessary, 20+4 and 4+4pin motherboard cables don't really need to be, but it is nice for installation purposes. -Only includes one 8pin PCI Express cable, so running dual graphics cards that each require one 6 and one 8 pin will require an adapter, unless additional cables are available from manufacturer.
- Other Thoughts: This is a solid runner, albeit complete overkill for my current rig. I'm running an Athlon X2 5000+ BE, 8800 GTS 640mb, 2gb or RAM, and a hard drive and optical drive or two. I bought this along with the NZXT Tempest case to be the first two components of a new build, but never got around to the rest. Owned/Using both since Feb 09.
Fully Modular
- Pros: Plenty enough power for most gaming rigs out there.
Fully modular cables. If yer a case modder like me this is a huge selling point as it allows for the creation of custom length cables for any kind of cable routing you could think of.
- Cons: I haven't found any.
- Other Thoughts: Thankfully not oversized like so many other PSU's out there. It's a nice normal size and not overly long which can make for a tight fit in mid tower cases.
High Quality PSU
- Pros: Excellent PSU. The modular cables are sleeved, and high quality. Installed perfectly, and provides plenty of power. Comes with more than enough cables for all your gear.
- Cons: It has a 20+4 pin connector. The 4 extra pins do not have a clip, so theres nothing holding it in the socket. Has no external power switch.
- Other Thoughts: none
