3 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Good Price

Cons: I was terribly disappointed when I set this power supply up. As I was running one of the SATA power cables, I noticed the back end cap had broken off of the end connector (thus showing the cable wires in their slots in the connector). Not wanting to use this connector, I wrapped it in electrical tape and connected the first two connectors to my tow dvd burners. I used the second cable for my SSD and hard drives. The system is running fine but this is really not good.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing PSU

Pros: Good Power (more than I'll ever need, probably)
Lot's of cables
Quiet

Cons: Not modular, but I knew this beforehand, so no need to dock an egg for it.

Other Thoughts: This PSU is amazing. I just built my first gaming computer a couple months back, and PSUs were the scariest part about the entire build. I didn't know who to trust. Then, I stumbled upon Silverstone. I read many reviews on their PSUs stating how reliable they are and how well built they are. Everything I read is true. This thing is going strong almost three months without a hiccup.

Installation was a breeze. Pop it in the case, screw in everything, and attach the cables. Simple. The case I have allows me to put the extra cables in the front, where extra hard drives can go.

The only problem I had with this PSU was the CPU cable is quite short. If you want to route your cables to have a clean setup (who wouldn't?), then you'll probably need a CPU extension cable. I have a mid tower case, and even then, routing behind the mobo, the cable is about an inch too short. Luckily, my case actually came with a CPU extension cable, so I had no issues. Just beware for those of you with large cases, you'll probably need a cable.

My setup:
Case - Zalman Z9 Mid Tower
CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
Mobo - Biostar T Overclocker TA970XE
OS - Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
RAM - 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws X Series DDR3 1600MHz
PSU - Silverstone ST70F-ES 700w
GFX Card - Currently running an old Geforce 210, upgrading to an EVGA 660 FTW Signature 2
HDD - Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200RPM

5 out of 5 eggsReliable Power

Pros: This is my second Silverstone PSU, both have been rock solid. Bought this one to run a new GTX560 in an off-the-shelf Core2 Quad box that was underpowered for the job. Solid, reliable, and quiet - just like the first one I bought (an 850w) which has been running 2+ years.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsReview Update

Pros: Power supply works as intended. Plenty of hook ups and good wire organization. I would recommend this power supply.

Cons: Showed up with the tamper seal already broken.

Other Thoughts: I am correcting my previous 1 egg review in which I said this power supply was DOA. This issue has been resolved with Silverstone and now the power supply works great.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: None

Cons: The power supply showed up DOA with the tamper seal already broken. I couldn't believe it. I tried to hook it up anyways and it doesn't work, go figure. I took pictures and now I have to try to RMA the power supply. I will never order a Silverstone product again.

Other Thoughts: I don't know how Newegg is going to handle the RMA if the tamper seal is broken but it showed up that way and I took photos when I opened it.

5 out of 5 eggsSmall yet powerful

Pros: Very nice power supply with the basics.

Works great has plenty of power for my system that runs a
X6 1090t processor
3 9500 gt's
8gb's of ram
Western digital hard drive
dvd rom
3 120mm fans.

Works well fan on the power supply hardly spins because it runs so cold.

Works great just like every other silverstone product I've tried and I have no complaints at all with this nice power supply.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This is a basic power supply that doesn't have a bunch of extra cables but it has the cables needed and that's all that really matters.

This is a great power supply for hiding cords.
