Other aspects such as efficiency, modular cabling compatible with other SilverStone PSUs, and adjustable switches for multi/single rail, voltage tweak, and fan control are vastly improved to make this the most thought-after power supply for elites among IT professionals, PC power users, and overclockers.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: Have had this one for 2 plus years. Have run CFire with water cooling, whatever and is a champ. This is like a old school PC Power & amp unit before OCZ got their hands on them = Electric Brick. Silverstone is really good my second one.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT PSU

Pros: Reliable, tons of watts

Cons: A little noisy, big

Other Thoughts: Outstanding PSU. I have been running this at 1300+ watts for over a month now on a Litecoin mining rig with zero issues so far. Very reliable.

Heavy gauge cables all around, great unit.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: I've been using this for a little over a year now. I used to own a Thermaltake 1350 PSU, but when it died out of the warranty period, I decided it was time to try a new brand.
Heard about SilverStone's build quality and so far I have to agree. Great build quality for a heavy PSU.
Most importantly, it perfectly runs everything inside my PC at a full load.
Really satisfied with this product!

Cons: It's a bit loud, but that doesn't bother me too much as I am primarily gaming or playing loud music when I'm using my PC.

Other Thoughts: This PSU can power just about any build.

1 out of 5 eggsFIVE STARS FOER PRODUCT ONE STAR FOR SILVERSTONE

Pros: Single or Six rails. 100% Modular cables. Big power (1350 Watt). Solid construction. Lots of cables. Good looking case. Fine tuning voltage.

Cons: NOISY, VERY NOISY. I have two of ZM 1200, that have the same 80mm fan. They are very quite. But this one is waking up the whole house, when turns on. I put in balance to keep it or return it. In one hand I like its features, but in the other I dislike having that strong noise. So I decided to keep it to give it a try. I used Silverstone for years and I had good luck with them. Over the years I only had one to fail on me. How good will IT be? I do not know yet. I will keep you posted. And this is for Silverstone as company: CAN YOU START TO CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS AGAIN? WAT IS WITH YOU AND THE REBATES ? I COMPLETED THE REBATE FORM ON LINE AND NOT EVEN TODAY I RECEIVED THE PROMISSED E-MAIL BACK, WITH THE FORM REQUIRED TO SEND IN THE PROOF OF PURCHASE, RECEIPT ETC. IT LOOKS LIKE YOU GUYS DO NOT LIKE TO KEEP YOUR PROMISES. SO I WOULD EXPECT AN ANSWER TO THIS...UNTIL YHAN YOU ONLY GET ONE STAR.

Other Thoughts: I WAS DEBATING ABOUT RATING FOR THIS PRODUCT.
AS WE ALL KNOW, THE RATING IS FOR PRODUCT ITSELF BUT YOU HAVE TO TAKE IN COSIDERATION ALL THE ASPECTS INVOLVED. IT LOOKS THAT IS A GOOD QUALITY PRODUCT BUT AS WE ALL KNOW SOMETIMES LOOKS ARE DECEPTIVE. REALY RATING IS WHEN USED FOR AT LEAST SOME TIME, SO YOU WILL BE ABLE TO TELL HOW IT PERFORMS.
WHEN I WRITE A REVIEW I GO BY MY OWN EXPERIENCE WITH THAT PRDUCT AND I DO NOT DEDUCT "EGS" BECAUSE FACTORY OR NEWEGG SERVICE. THAT IS A SEPARATE ISUE AND COULD BE SEEN IN THE REVIEW. I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE IT FIVE STARS, BUT BECAUSE OF THE NOISY FAN IT ONLY GETS FOUR. FOR NOW IT STAYS IN THE CLOSET WAITING FOR SOME DAY WHEN MAY BE WILL BE USED. SO WAT 'S THE SENS OF KEEPING IT? I DO NOT KNOW YET. WHEN A PRODUCT IS NOT USABLE AND NEEDS TO BE RETURNED THAT MEANS IS GOT A PROBLEM AND SHOULD BE RATED AS SUCH. BUT I GOT IT FOR GOOD PRICE SO I AM KEEPING IT HOPING THAT ONE DAY IT WILL COME HANDY. UNTIL I GET AN ANSWER FROM SILVERSTONE RATING WILL STAY AS IS. SORRY SILVERSTONE BUT THIS WAY I THINK I WILL GET YOUR ATTENTION.

3 out of 5 eggsNOISE! WHAT? THE NOISE!

Pros: This thing is awesome. 6x PCIe cables, with two of the cables having additional 6+2 cables, allowing for full quad SLI support.

Single vs 6-rail. I bought it for the single-rail support.

POTS adjustment for minute voltage control (and works!).

Upgraded cable (can't remember type) so don't connect one of the cheap 18 gauge cables to it.

Cons: Two major issues... I don't usually deduct Eggs from my reviews unless it is something series. This one gets two eggs knocked off after carefully weighing the options.

First, the noise. Sure, an 80mm fan on a high-wattage PSU is going to be loud. But, uh, this loud? And I thought my old PC Power and Cooling 1200W was loud with its 80W. This sucker is right up there with it! And no, the "full speed" fan button is not pressed. Pressing that wakes my neighbors up.

Seriously, this thing is really really loud. It drowns out my EVGA GTX Titans (2 of them) at 100% fan speed! Yes, it's louder than the reference coolers. It's louder than 5x R9 280x Gigabyte Windforce fans at 100% (using the other PSU for mining). I was like, "what GPU is making that noise?!?!' Turns out, none of the GPUs are - all 5 are very quiet at 70%. Just a slight hiss - and a big ROAR of 1210 watts from the PSU.

In the end, I had to remove a solid egg for this one. The noise levels was not expressed in any of the reviews.

In addition, the 2nd thing is that the PCIe cables are very short. Really short. I was quite surprised compared to my EVGA SuperNova 1300W G2 I have. Just to make sure I wasn't crazy, I pulled out of my old AX1200 and NXT power supplies. Sure enough, this SilverStone is shorter than all others - by a few inches. I had to deduct a solid egg for that one as well as that was not apparent and, who puts short cables on PSUs these days?

Other Thoughts: In the end, I could not use these for my mining rig in my office as it was too loud and I could not use it in my desktop as using Autocad, which peaks GPUs for brief moments - not long enough to spin up the reference coolers on the Titans, actually draws a lot of power and ROOOAARR the PSu fan has to spin up. Wow. Just insanely wow.

If you have extremely loud GPU fans, or don't care about noise, and have your PSU pretty much sitting on top of your GPU area, this PSU is awesome.
