Pros: It does what the description says. I use it to switch between a Windows desktop and a Linux laptop (Lenovo x220) plugged into a docking station.

The unit is of solid construction. It's all metal, no plastic and has a nice quality feel to it.

People with docking stations sometimes complain about display port KVM switches. One important thing they (may be?) forgetting is that laptops have a BIOS setting for the default video output on boot. It needs to be set to "Dockign Station Video" in my case. Otherwise you get no output until the OS boots - and this depends on the OS/video card too.

Cons: What I hate about this KVM is that it tries to be too smart: when there's no video/USB on PC1, it automatically switches to PC2 and vice versa.

This is unbelivably stupid. If I need to reboot my Linux box, it jumps to Windows, so I need to switch back, and switching back is always clumsy because the boot process on Linux doesn't keep the constant DisplayPort output, so it actually may jump back to Windows 1-2 times before I get a stable output with Linux login. Ughhh... Drives me nuts.

Another annoying part about that is that with both computers asleep, it's impossible to tell which one will wake up if I hit the keyboard. They should have had a solid, persistent, simple hardware flip-switch: PC1 or PC2.

Pros: Sleek two port DP KVM. I can share 3 USB devices and my 144hz monitor at 1920 x 1080 between two computers.

Cons: Cables are short. May not work with all USB 3.0 controllers.

After boot my desktop no longer recognized USB devices. After an hour of installing/uninstalling MoBo and SIIG drivers I discovered that I needed to plug in to a USB 2.0 port. The Macbook however, USB 3.0 only, worked fine.

Other Thoughts: Comp1: Win7x64 Ultimate, ASRock Z77Extreme 4
Comp2: OSX 10.9.5, Macbook Pro 2012

Devices: Acer XB270H, Logitech G110 and G300.

Pros: Works with my Intel X99/Geforce 980 desktop PC's display.

Cons: No display at all with my Dell docking station for an E6520 laptop. The laptop and docking station work with a direct DisplayPort connection to my Dell U2410M monitor, but not through either SIIG cable or PC connectors on the SIIG KVM switch.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: I was looking for a single monitor Displayport KVM to switch between my home desktop and my work laptop on a docking station. This comes with USB/Displayport cables to plug into your two machines, so you just need to have your own Displayport cable to go from the KVM to the monitor.

Cons: the included KVM cables are pretty short, they reach with both machines on the same side of my desk, but just barely...

Other Thoughts: It doesn't have the fancier features of the more expensive KVMs, but this is all I needed.
If you have dual monitors, might want to use DVI/VGA, or need audio switched, you'll have to go for a more expensive model.
