Pros: When it works, it works. I get full speed access to my external drives.

Cons: If I plug a second drive into a port adjacent to another drive that's already plugged in, it'll cause the first drive to briefly disconnect. It's enough of an interruption it results in the drive being unmount/ejected in an unclean fashion. This could be very bad if you're copying data to it.

This means I avoid connecting/disconnecting devices when any data operation is going on and avoid using adjacent ports. This is really inconvenient if there is a long copy going on and means I didn't really get a 4-port hub.

Other Thoughts: Strongly not recommended. Would not buy again.

Pros: this SIIG hub works fine on USB2 ports. power management (per port) and sleep modes also work reliably, for a passive hub. i have no complaints so far. i may even buy another one. quality USB hubs are a rare thing it seems, but this one doesn't disappoint.

Pros: Sleek compact size. It works even in BIOS/EFI mode. Full speed USB 3.0. SIIG makes good products.

Pros: There are four ports. I plugged in my mouse and keyboard (USB 1 or 2), an external hdd (USB 3.0) and a USB 3.0 external DVD/blu-ray burner, filling all four ports simultaneously. Everything worked just fine for a good 30 minutes. There is a small blue light that lights up when you plug this into your computer. Not annoying at all, nice actually. All in all, works as advertised. It appears to be pretty well made. Time will tell.

Cons: none yet. If I was going to carry this around a lot (I don't plan on doing so), I probably would buy a small carrying case for it to prevent damage. It doesn't look impervious to wear and tear.

Other Thoughts: There is a tiny hole in this thing. I wondered if it was a defect, but it looked manufactured. So I looked very closely at the picture as posted here at Newegg, and if you look closely, you will see a tiny little hole, and in the exact same location. I am guessing it is for ventilation. Whatever it is, it does not appear to be a defect.
