My burner recognizes the discs, but it will give me error on some of the discs while in the middle of the burning process. Only 50% of the discs is working. Cons: The problem: they work fine in my desktop computer, which reads, formats and writes to them. On the other hand, my laptop (Dell D630, purchased from Newegg) can read them fine, but cannot format or write to them. So they are useless for making system images of my laptop, which was the main reason for getting them! Other Thoughts: I'm checking to see if there might be a firmware upgrade that would solve the laptop problem. According to the packaging on the discs, they "require a 16X" DVD burner. Some inkjet printable media have a large area arount the center hole, that can't be printed on.
