4 out of 5 eggsWorked for me

Pros: Price, worked as needed.

Cons: If one of the power plugs in unplugged, it has a high pitched audible alarm. I do not see a way to silence the alarm, which stinks. I see the point to have an alarm, but there has got to be a way to silence it if needed.

Other Thoughts: Been using for 8 months now in a Dual AMD 6-core server setup w/ 10 hard drives, and 48GB RAM. Still working. Not sure if it was my case, or the PSU, but the screw holes did not match up. I had to drill holes in the case to secure the PSU to it with screws.

1 out of 5 eggsBurned up all drives and backplanes

Pros: I did not get far enough after power on to find any.

Cons: Bought this power supply for a disk based backup server using 20 2 TB hard drives. I built a similar server using a different power supply about a year ago. it had no problems, but this Athena AP-RRU2ATX70 has a serious issue.

The power cable for the 4 pin source must be wired wrong. It put out so much voltage, that it fried 3 out of 5 backplane boards in the server, and all 20 hard drives. None of them will spin up even in another server. I am looking at about $4,800 damage in a matter of seconds.
