5 out of 5 eggsGood quality at a reasonable cost

Pros: I bought it as a replacement PS for my home RAID 5 server. Runs quietly without any issues. Good price, quick delivery, and works as expected.

Cons: none that I can see

1 out of 5 eggsWhat's that? I can't hear you over this PS!

Pros: great customer service, small size

Cons: this thing is so loud! I wish i had listened to other reviewers. sent it back for an exchange on their "silent technology" replacement and its just as loud. I'm really disappointed because the customer service from Ricky @ Athena was great, but this PS is ridiculously loud. Hoping to find some resolution from Athena other than sending it back and losing $15 in shipping / restocking fees...

Manufacturer Response:

We at Athena Power want to thank you for your input and your kind words for our customer support representative. We will have our technicians look at this noise issue and assist you as best as we can to resolve it, thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent PS replacement for Shuttle SN68SG2

Pros: My old power supply went bad in a Shuttle SN68SG2 after a couple of years. This one has 50 more watts than the original, it fits right in (slightly shorter actually), and the fan is much quieter when you stress the system. I am very happy with this power supply.

Cons: None

3 out of 5 eggsSmall but loud

Pros: Small, fit inside my slimline case. 2 sata plugs, regular size 20/24 pin atx connecter. Had a dead mobo so I am doing a mobo, cpu, ram, powersupply swap.

Cons: Loud! The 40mm is on the back of the powersupply and screams when the powersupply starts to get warm. After a couple days I knew this wouldn't work. This would be a better application for a server room not a home desktop.

Other Thoughts: I ended getting a FSP 220 watt, much quieter and still fit inside my slimline case.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat upgade for miniITX cases

Pros: It runs cool and provides 300W for my own build miniITX systems. It comes with 3 SATA connectors and 1 6pin power connector for graphic cards, which is hard to find on power supplies of this size.

I'm using it as a replacement for a weak 150W power supply that ships with the Athenatech and Roseville miniITX tower cases. It actually makes room for larger graphic cards because its 1" smaller than the OEM power supply. To install the new power supply I had to drill a couple of holes in the bottom of the computer case and use the power supplies case screws to mount it.

Cons: None, but it would be nice if there are mounting holes on either the side of the power supply and not just at the front end.

Other Thoughts: System Configuration
Case: Athenatech A1089BB.150
