This one has almost as much amps per rail than the dell psu.

Pros: If the power supply shows up and works it seems to work reliably without failure

Cons: Very poor quality power supply. I purchased two of these units at the same time. Both units powered on initially but one of the two failed on power up with a loud popping sound. I returned the unit for another one and the replacement unit showed up DOA. I would not recommend this power supply.

Pros: Still working after a month or so and quiet enough for me even without headphones on.

Other Thoughts: I've had this unit for around two years now. It boggles my mind how I read these reviews saying "Avoid this, get this $150!! PSU instead".

I've had no issues with this unit - period. It's been able to power a somewhat demanding system for two years now, it has never overheated and has never had problems keeping up with demand (no voltage drops).

I run this 24/7 for the most part. Maybe once every week or two I'll turn it off for twelve hours, but otherwise its on constantly. I have never _once_ had a power outage because the PSU had a problem.

An example of what I am talking about is fraste2's review. You had a defective unit, it has nothing to do with the PSU being cheap. Josh, if it was dead on action why not RMA it? Hamster wheel, you had a defective unit. I never had that problem.

All in all, ignore the horrible reviews. one out of ten is probably real, and the rest are just posted by people who have no idea what they are talking about.

Other Thoughts: I bought this 6 months ago and it's still going strong. I've read some cons that people wrote and they're just ridiculous. The PSU is about 3 feet from my head and I can't hear it. The PCIe plug is connected to it. If you want to build the cheapest gaming computer you can THIS is what you want. Here's my rig and I would only change one thing. I would get a gtx460 over my radeon but it wasn't out at the time I bought my stuff.

CPU : AMD x4 620 @ 2.6ghz
GPU : Radeon 5770

Even with the budget card I have I can run almost any game maxed out at 1920x1080. Don't waste your money. Get this power supply for single video card set ups!
