5 out of 5 eggsAwesome little PSU

Pros: Quiet. Puts out decent power. Low price. Enough connectors for most basic to mid level builds.

Cons: The cables could be just a little bit thicker, but you cant expect to get the perfect PSU at this price. The box also feels a little light, but whatever.

Other Thoughts: At the end of the day you will always get those folks out there saying to avoid it and to spend more money. But seriously, if your rig only needs something just a little above the stock 300w PSU this is the one to get. I don't think I would push it past 400w but it is more than fine for most systems. Mine is currently powering an AMD a10-5800k, 8GB 1866 DDR3, 64GB SSD, and 2 120mm fans. Before that it was powering a Intel Pentium dual core E5400, 6GB 1333 DDR3, 1TB HDD, and 2 80mm fans.

1 out of 5 eggsBuy a real PSU, please

Pros: The specifications use big numbers

Cons: Worked for 20 hours, then started to BSOD anytime I ran anything more demanding than Asteriods. It took me many months of troubleshooting because every BSOD was for a different system failure. Finally decided this HAD to be it, and I reinstalled the stock PSU. 2 weeks later and no problems.

Other Thoughts: This is blown away by a garden-variety stock 300W supply, so I'm having a hard time seeing the value here. When this fails it is not intuitive to diagnose. Please just save yourself months of headaches and inconvenience by getting yourself a real power supply. Corsairs are $15 more, people.

Cons: short cables...probably for a workstation...kind of light weight also

Other Thoughts: By the time you buy extensions for your connections you could have spent the extra 5 bucks to get something else

2 out of 5 eggsDidn't work for me.

Pros: Cheap, that's about it.

Cons: Was DOA, also the unit said 165 Watts on it, so I wonder if I got the wrong one.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Power Supply!

Pros: Lasts 4+ years. I have been using these for over 5 years now and maybe 1 out of 200 came back after 2 months which I just replaced it with another one of these power supplies and it never died again. Dual fans. Very QUIET! Heavy Duty. Very Dependable.

Cons: For ATX motherboards or game boards the main 20+4 pin connection may not reach depending on the motherboard. But for most pre-built computers this is a nice power supply. could use an extra molex cable for power to sata or IDE devices.

Other Thoughts: Best bang for the buck. Very dependable and long lasting. Heavy Duty power supply with dual fans. Works great as a replacement power supply in most computers. 485watt is plenty for most computers. PLEASE LISTEN. If you think it will not fit your CASE then make it fit by taking a pliers and bending back the metal end piece where the CASE might be hitting the plastic power port on power supply. Also if you have a CAP inside the computer CASE where your old power supply was, no problem, extra air vent. Don't worry about it fitting just right. These things work great.

4 out of 5 eggsLasted 2 1/2 years...

Pros: Cheap, had two 12V rails and plenty of connectors. Worked fine for 2 1/2 years with a FX-8120.

Cons: Died while I was using MSI Kombuster to stress test my new GTX460. I can't really blame the PSU, since I knew I was at the minimum requirements for PSU and CPU.

The CPU power cable took a bit of stretching to reach the motherboard. The PSU was mounted at the bottom, however, which makes a difference.

Other Thoughts: Build:
AMD FX-8120
Nvidia GTX460 768MB Ram
Asus M5A97
4GB DDR3
