4 out of 5 eggsWorks as intended

Pros: Not as loud as other reviews claim it to be.
Also Im using this for a gaming pc, so yeah this can handle games just fine just not super high end 4k screen gaming. If that is what interests you I suggest a higher wattage obviously.

Cons: No manual or any documentation.
Not sure if any psu comes with any piece of paper other than the order form but I just like having something on hand if I need to know something real quick without having to go online.

3 out of 5 eggsBox lists a different brand

Pros: Cheap, Haswell-ready, works.

Cons: n/a

Other Thoughts: Nowhere on the box that this power supply comes in does it say "hec Compucase". I guess a third party company makes power supplies for a number of brands. It's a little off-putting to order one brand and get something that appears to be entirely different, but it's the fact that it works that matters.

1 out of 5 eggsWhat Happened?

Pros: Low Price, lots of long connectors.

Cons: Loud. Just plain LOUD.
I didn't test them when they arrived, now I'm stuck with them. I can't put them in a customer's computer. Way too loud.
Did I say that the fans are LOUD ?

Other Thoughts: The low price doesn't justify being LOUD.
Maybe 10 years ago, but not now.

1 out of 5 eggs4 months

Pros: very cheap, big power
has enough connectors for its wattage class

Cons: only lasted 4 months, it served its purpose i suppose

Other Thoughts: i bought a 400watt version the same day as this 485watt one. the 400watt version is still running so i think i prob ran this one too hard... still 4 months, cmon lol

3 out of 5 eggsPrice is right

Pros: It has a good price for the advertised ratings. Who know if it really can supply 480 someodd watts.

Cons: It is loud. I'm just going to keep it around to test computers that might have a failed psu

5 out of 5 eggsgreat psu

Pros: great value, has all the cables you need for any budget system

very quiet and seems to run cool

Cons: no 8pin mobo connector, and has a very funny "fresh out of the factory" smell once you power it up.

Other Thoughts: very durable construction

5 out of 5 eggsCheap and works

Pros: It is very cheap, it works, great too replace in my cousins rig as he doesn't mind noise and it's a stock hp pc with a Nvidia GTX 460 the psu easily powers this. Was a pretty big snow storm when I ordered this with the cheapest shipping. ordered on a friday was here monday morning.

Cons: The fans are noisy not the most noise i've seen out a psu... Wires are a mess but i figured they would be it is not modular.

Other Thoughts: Easily worth the $20 even if its just a emergency psu you never use...

3 out of 5 eggsDid its job - for less than 2 years

Pros: Worked with no noticeable glitches and with very little down time for about 22 mo.

Cons: Died after ~22 months., naturally after the limited warranty.

Other Thoughts: My Rating factors the price/performance/longevity.
