4 out of 5 eggsWorked well enough

Pros: Supplied (more than) sufficient voltage to power a mildly overclocked, unlocked Phenom II setup w/ 4 fans, 2 HD and an Asus NVidia 9600GSO.

Cons: Lasted a year and a half before the fan started making an unhealthy scraping noise on occasion and was retired to the scrap PC. I'm not holding this too hard against it, because its position at the top of the case with 120mm opening facing straight down at the heatsink guaranteed that the PSU would be venting a the majority of the PC's heat in addition to its own.

Other Thoughts: I'm powering the same rig (with 5 large fans in a case that puts the PSU at the bottom) with an Earthwatts 380W now, which manages to be quieter despite its 80mm fan. I think system builders tend to go a bit overboard when selecting the reported wattage they "need" in a PSU.

1 out of 5 eggs2nd one dead out of the box

Pros: At this point I can't think of any

Cons: 2nd power supply was dead out of the box.

Other Thoughts: I don't think I'll see if "3rd time's a charm". I guess I'll try another power supply manufacturer.

1 out of 5 eggsIt was a nice 20 minutes

Pros: It was very quiet.

Cons: It became REALLY quiet when it burned up after a mere 20 minutes of use.

Other Thoughts: Even though it was "low-priced" it should have lasted more than 20 minutes. I'm hoping it didn't kill anything else on it's way to digital heaven.

5 out of 5 eggsCool Beans

Pros: Quiet as quiet can be.
Black casing looks slick.
Lots of connectors.

Cons: Nothing so far. Seems to offer everything it promised. Some users report it getting noisy, but after what sounded like a fleet of Apache helicopters inside me old power source, I dont think it'll be too bad.
Some fo the connector cables don't seem to be as long as they could/should be.

Other Thoughts: Good deal. Came with free mini optical mouse. No complaints. I like it.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding prise on a good solid power supply.

Pros: Paid only 25 bucks and got a true 500 watt power supply. Sorry but that sale was for a very limited time but I did good. There are not a lot a cables but that is good because that does not put you in the spot to over do. Great deal and very happy. I did not have the tangled cable problems that others have complained about and my guess is that Hec resolved that problem. Have not used the mouse that came with it.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I am at an impasse as to why people have had problems with this power supply. No I would not SLI this nor would I go and buy a 600 dollar video card and whine if it did not work. You spend that much money for a video card than be ready to spend a lot on a power supply.

Last and as always, great job newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsReally quiet

Pros: Decent PSU
VERY VERY QUIET

Cons: none (yet?)

Other Thoughts: I was wary about this PSU at first because of the sale price but I was desperately looking for a PSU with large fans since the other PSU I replaced that had 2 80mm fans sounded like a jet plane on take off. This one is Whisper quiet which is great since it's for a bedroom PC that I never shut off.

5 out of 5 eggsA good purchase

Pros: I haven't really done much with this yet, but I did plug it into my motherboard just to see if everything worked OK, and it did. Everything spun up like it was supposed to, good POST. Low price, good build, not that many molex connectors, but then again I don't really need that many and you know how many you're getting when you buy it. I'm planning on crossfiring two 4850's, and the design of the power supply will work well with them. The cables aren't messy (at least, I've seen a lot worse), and the fan is very quiet. Overally, a great buy for the money (plus I got it on sale with free shipping- awesome bargain).

Cons: None so far.
