Modern video cards and modern computers require a power supply with some muscle, and Hec's X-Power model aims to do just that.

Capable of providing a continuous 600 Watts, this powerful supply is both NVIDIA SLI and ATI Crossfire X certified. With an efficiency of 84%, less power gets wasted as heat. In addition to saving power, it's also RoHS certified. Two powerful +12 V rails allow for easier power regulation while still delivering the power you need. Dual 80mm fan give cooling and keep noise level under 22dBA. Connections for four peripherals and three SATA drives as well as up to two PCI Express boards (one six pin and another eight pin connector) give you plenty of versatility.

Whether you need to replace an existing supply or you're building a custom computer, this power supply is your solution.

5 out of 5 eggsStill running fine

Pros: I've owned this PSU since 10/8/2010 and it's still running strong after three years. No noise, no signs of anything going wrong.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I've doubled my RAM and upgraded my video card in the time since and the PSU has handled it fine.

3 out of 5 eggsExternal Fan Broke after 3 months

Pros: PSU worked as advertised, didn't suck up too much power. Had more than enough connections for all my hardware. Cables are nice and long. Well suited for large cases. Also love the LED lighting.

Cons: External fan started making this awful noise 3 months into purchasing this product brand new. I put up with it for another year before I finally lost my sanity with the constant noise. I read on a forum somewhere this was a common problem, and you can disconnect the fan because there is an internal one. I tore this thing apart to either replace the fan / disconnect it and promptly discovered you need a special tool to remove the rest of the screws to get the unit open. Very frustrating. Poor thing then had a date with a hammer.

Other Thoughts: Wouldn't buy this product again. Better off saving up a little and getting a slightly better quality psu.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for what it is.

Pros: 3 years plus with absolutely no issues. Construction and components are better than the price would indicate.

Cons: No active pfc or 80+ efficiency.

Other Thoughts: Replaced during upgrade with an 80+, active pfc unit for my peace of mind.

5 out of 5 eggsGood product, dont be fooled.

Pros: *Price
*quiet
*remains pretty cool(at least for me)

Cons: *Cables a wee bit short

Other Thoughts: Owned this product for at least 2 years now and i can say i have no problems with it. I agree with one of the other reviews that some people must of gotten a bad batch or something, Because i have ZERO issues with it, and i use it quite alot for gaming.
