1 out of 5 eggsAwful. Absolutely awful.

Pros: Not much, apart from the cable length and variety being acceptable for your average mini-ITX case.

Cons: TLDR version: One of these came with my HTPC case from the same brand. It was so bad I replaced it with a different PSU, and my HTPC lived happily ever after.

Details:
In spite of having to power only a 35W CPU, 4GB of basic RAM, a mini-ITX motherboard, and a 64GB SSD, it certainly had a lot of trouble. It would frequently cause the computer to restart at random. It was hot to the touch (yes, the fan was "working") and even when I pointed a desk fan on it with the case open, it would still occasionally brown out the system. This was highly unacceptable, and after reading the abysmal reviews here, I skipped seeking a replacement and went straight to a 220W PSU from a different company I knew I could trust. Now all is well.

Other Thoughts: Moral of the story: Don't ever skimp on the PSU. Find a reliable brand, pay attention to the rail amperages, and leave yourself some breathing room power-wise.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far it has been good

Pros: Powers my Core 2 Duo@2.99Ghz(65watt TDP) and the onboard Nvidia GeForce 9300 overclocked(takes 108watts max at stock clock). Fan noise is not bad for it's size.

Cons: Warm? But that is to be expected with the Mini-ITX format and small fans.

Other Thoughts: I bought this power supply installed in a hec Mini-ITX case and it's performing well after six months of daily use. I browse the web, watch videos online, watch DVD's and Blu-Rays, and I play some casual games with the GeForce 9300 every day. It seems like the power supply was designed for my hec case because the power cables are the perfect length for the case.

1 out of 5 eggsstay away

Pros: small design

Cons: the power supply does not work. it says that "H2 performed a function test" on the unit, I guess H2 did not do his/her job. Guess what, the PSU does not work! Just like everyone else is saying on here, do not purchase anything HEC. They don't test anything.

Other Thoughts: I would never buy this product again. I AM NOT SENDING RMA, i am asking newegg.com for a refund. This is total garbage.

1 out of 5 eggsstay away from Hec and compucase

Pros: worked for 4 months

Cons: worked for 4 months

Other Thoughts: hecs rma process is something not to be desired you have to fax a form with an invoice of purchase (even though i emailed it to them with my original request) and based on the manufacturer responses the realize that there is an issue with this power supply, I think they should streamline this process. I mean cmon this is a technology company we need to fax proof of invoice :{ last compucase product I will buy.

1 out of 5 eggsBad PSU

Pros: It worked

Cons: Didn't work for long, pretty loud.

Other Thoughts: Mine came as a part of a case combo. The first one failed after 1 week. HEC's customer support was very quick to replace it. The second one just died last week after only running for a few months.

Manufacturer Response:

We can provide another replacement, however, it won't last long if it is over 200W power budget or without proper cooling.

4 out of 5 eggsThis PS actually works!

Pros: This replacement works!

Cons: The original supply unit failed within a week, due to an issue with the fan.

Other Thoughts: This new unit seems to be working like a charm!

1 out of 5 eggsPretty Bad

Pros: Worked for a little while.

Cons: Pretty much the same as the other reviews. Noisy (I was able to live with the noise but someone making a more serious media center most likely would have pitched it), stopped working after about 12 days of use.
The PSU came with the case I bought in a combo package.

Manufacturer Response:

We have experienced some fan issues. Our current inventory are free of such issues.

1 out of 5 eggsPSU horrible

Pros: None

Cons: Died within the first week of having it came in my Compucase CS 8K07 case. Was very noisy when it did work. Hoping to work out something to get this replaced.. not to excited about getting the same PSU as a return.

Manufacturer Response:

We have had some fan alignment problem in last batch production. We have made the modification. You may get a replacement psu from factory directly at www.hecgroupusa.com under download section to fill out rma form.

1 out of 5 eggsHEC200SA2FX died in 10 days

Pros: None!

Cons: None! It is noisy, very noisy and it died in less than two weeks of use. This PSU came with my (8K07BBA20) Compucase CS 8K07 Mini ITX Desktop 200W case and I was running only a single 3.5 in hard drive and a 13-500-035 ZOTAC GF9300-G-E R motherboard and died!

Other Thoughts: This case and motherboard are nice, but the PSU it came with is a complete shame.

Manufacturer Response:

We had some fan issue in last batch. You can get a replacement psu from factory directly.

1 out of 5 eggsWorthless

Pros: Makes a nice paperweight.

Cons: Died after 5 weeks of use. Couldn't RMA it to newegg due to it being just over 30 days. Tried calling their phone support for RMA and it just keeps looping back to the menu. Overall a terrible product with shotty quality and an even worse run company that you can't contact to replace your defective product under warranty.

Other Thoughts: I will NEVER purchase another HEC or compucase piece of hardware.

Manufacturer Response:

You can go to www.hecgroupusa.com to fill out rma form to get a replacement psu under download section.
