Until my DVD drive just broke, I didn't realize I even had the sata power connectors. Nothing used them when I bought this thing! It was powering a E6400 clocked at 3.2Ghz (+50%) and a 8800 GTS 512. Now, as of November 2012, its powering a 3570K at 4.2Ghz (+25%) and a 7950 at 1050Mhz (+20%). This has all the features of a modem enthusiast's power supply and continues to deliver great performance after years of use. Cons: Recently the fan bearing has developed a tick. Cons: ...its dead now. i dont want to think about how much 500w of power x 40000 hours cost me. all you less intelligent people complaining that it died after many years of use, are unrealistic mouth breathers. do you complain to Honda when your 1988 civic with 300k miles suddenly stops working? old stuff breaks. that's life, kids. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Cons: Stupid blue lights. Died suddenly after 4.5 years. Was only plugged into clean, filtered UPS AC. There is no excuse why this unit failed. After some research, these have become known to do this between 4 and 5 years. Other Thoughts: Last OCZ PSU that I buy -- when you spend this kind of money, you expect to get quality. This was replaced with a Corsair HX750. Manufacturer Response: We are sorry for the problem.
