Good product, evil company
- Pros: This is a great PSU. Powers my A8N32-SLI with dual Geforce 8800 GTS GPUs and three SATA hdd's without any problems at all. No bigger than a standard ATX PSU either so you won't have problems fitting in your case.
- Cons: CAUTION: OCZ will randomly deny MIR's to customers just because they can. Imagine how much money can be saved by doing this to a few thousand people here and there. I sent my rebate form in very promptly and was meticulous about including everything including the original UPC code. I knew exactly what I was doing because I purchased the 600W powerstream about a year ago and went through the same exact rebate process (I recieved my rebate that time, I guess I was lucky). After a couple weeks I checked my status online only to find that they denied me stating that my UPC barcode I sent was invalid. I'm 100% positive that it's not though, and now I can't resend it because they have it!
- Other Thoughts: I have read a lot of angry posts from people who have been fraudulantly denied their rebate from OCZ tech. Now it's happened to me as well. Like I said, I believe they do it just to save the money, period. Just beware and don't count on getting your hard earned money back from them. It's a shame that with such great products this company resorts to these kinds of tactics.

Manufacturer Response:Hello, OCZ cares about our customers and never, ever falsely denies rebate claims. The rebate processing house may make an occasional mistake, or perhaps your rebate was simply filed incorrectly. Please visit our support forums at the link below and we will see that you get paid no matter what the cause for denial. Thank you

OCZ Best products and support in the business
- Pros: The OCZ GameXsream is an excellent product."You'll remember the quality of a product long after you forget the extra few dollars you pay for a quality product."
Before buying my second OCZ gamexstream 700W I was reading the reviews here and someone was complaining about OCZ support and not getting emails answered from support. I had 2 issues with OCZ power supplies through the years (actually, as it turned out, the problems were the fault of the mobo company and not the PSU's) I called OCZ and was immediatley shipped a replacement PSU in one case and an upgrade PSU in the other at no charge. If you have a problem with OCZ just call, this comapny will go the extra mile to fix the problem. I've found that OCZ works closely with MOBO companies to ensure that that their products are fully compatible. I can give no higher recommendation with the product and customer service.
- Cons: Sometimes OCZ's phone systerm can require patience but it's worth the trouble.(google OCZ to find the number)
My biggest complaint is the rebate department which is seperate from the OCZ company. In short it's unprofessional, not customer service oriented, in short, awful. If you need the $XX rebate that that comes with OCZ. Look somewhere else. It's just not worth the trouble.
- Other Thoughts: Despite the rebate system OCZ makes the best PSU's and memory in the business. Most importantly they back their products 100%

Horrible RMA Service
- Pros: Runs quite, and it has plenty of connectors. Comes with a warranty that I hope you never have to experience attempting to use.
- Cons: Horrible RMA service! OCZ states that they have the exclusive "PowerSwap" warranty to reduce downtime. You call tech support and they won't help you until you fill in all the info on the online request, then they still won't help you via phone. Get this - Eric from tech support stated they won't swap your power supply via the PowerSwap (crossship) if your power supply doesn't work - they only do it if it sort of works. Next, Eric told me it takes them so long on the paperwork for the cross-shipping that it doesn't save any time and is better if you ship first, then they look at it, then see what happens next. I used to like OCZ, but now they are blacklisted for me, I'm buying Corsair stuff instead.
- Other Thoughts: If you still go ahead and order this power supply, or any from OCZ, make sure you order another as a spare while OCZ takes forever on the RMA process unless you don't need to use your PC for extended periods of time. OCZ states PowerSwap will save you time and it's marketed as a good thing, but it doesn't save any time and OCZ will take a long time to ship. I can understand a failure, but OCZ's RMA process is beyond ridiculous, as it really sucks! I already bought another power supply since I can't afford any more downtime due to OCZ. Of course NewEgg rocks, and I'll always buy from NewEgg, but no longer from OCZ.
-
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the problem. There seems to have been a misunderstanding in the terms of our RMA policy. The PowerSwap program does guarantee a cross ship. It guarantees that a replacement unit will be sent out upon receipt of your unit, and that you will not have to wait for your unit to be repaired. Cross shipping can be done, although in a rare case where are waiting on delivery of a product it may not speed things up. We do not differentiate between "sort of working" and non-working units. Thank you
Not too impressed with RMA so far
- Pros: Good power supply stable until my computer wouldn't turn on one day
- Cons: No cross-shipping with power supplies even though I had a credit card ready. RMA process takes forever through the web! Submit RMA, have someone check it, they finally give you an RMA number, ship item to them expedited, they say they will ship replacement ground. So far 2 weeks since I've shipped the busted unit, and I still have to wait for ground service. Seriously?
- Other Thoughts: Probably going to go with another company next time I need a power supply or memory. Fortran or Antec. I gave you a chance OCZ, you guys kinda blew it.
-
Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry for the problem. We are also sorry about the wait. Some of the delay comes from our troubleshooting process, as we have found that many customers return products that work perfectly, having misdiagnosed their problem. In the past we have crossed shipped items to customers. Unfortunately a good number abuse the system by not returning their product, and then notifying the credit card company that we made an unauthorized charge, resulting in a charge back. We are sorry that we had to suspend this practice. Thank you
Good psu
- Pros: Sat for 3 years, and now I connect it to a 260gtx, and its asking for another one, unfortunately my board is not sli, but I'm pretty sure it has enough power to run 2. After 4-5 years of owning this psu, it runs like new, highly recommended.
- Cons: No cons, except I will be staying with this for a while, especially if it can handle a next gen nvidia card
- Other Thoughts: OCZ makes killer power supplies, just look at the lineup of their new 80 plus gold ones, other companies can't get close.
