5 out of 5 eggsGot 5 years of decent and demanding service

Pros: The unit lasted about 5 years of very regular use and intense use under hot tropical conditions before dying. When it died, it was simply a dropped power_good voltage. The final voltage checks were 3.41v, 5.05v, 11.25v, all within spec.

Also it ran very quietly until the end.

Wire wrappings and the extra wire pouch were both nice extras, as was modularity. Definitely appreciated those aspects over the years.

Cons: I felt there was some instability in the system throughout the last 5 years when under heavy load. Crashes every few hours were common. Might've been game code, though, it's hard to say which was the culprit, but it happened over a few titles, so I'm suspicious of the PSU.

Other Thoughts: Bought a 500w model for a system that only really needs about 360w.

Overall, I would call it a mid tier PSU. It lasted through a lot and didn't take anything out with it. 5 years is good enough for just about any component for me. I'm satisfied with my purchase. I'd not hesitate to recommend this model and brand to others, though I'll be trying a Corsair for my next PSU.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It seems to be a well constructed PSU.

Cons: I have had two of these PSUs fail on me. Both failed around the three year mark. The first one had a component failure, I could smell the fried part. The second would power up but the fan spun very slowly with no voltages at the connectors.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: *Great PSU for the price
*Modular is the way to go, and this PSU taught me that
*Never gave me a problem
*Goodbye OCZ (now fire something under ownership of a different company)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I am typing this review with a different power supply. The only reason I purchased a new power supply was because I needed more power, and OCZ no longer exists as the company brand that it use to. But the PSU was great, and i have it as a back up in case my current PSU dies.

5 out of 5 eggsOCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Modular High Performance Power Supply

Pros: affordable, reliable, and modular. consistent voltages no drops or spikes. sleeved cables. nice bag to keep extra cables in so you dont loose them. works great

Cons: some of the non-modular cables are to short, like the cpu power cable(4) when mounting PSU on the bottom. luckily mine reaches over the top of my motherboard but will need to get myself a ext cable when i install a vga card. Not a big deal extension cables are less than $8.

Other Thoughts: I bought this model, except it is a 600W, in Oct 2010 in a PC bundle kit. Its been working fine so far. Though in 2013 i did take it apart and thoroughly cleaned it out. Which Im sure will give it longer life.
my previous psu was from 1999 it still works to date because of simple maintenance. gotta keep them clean & cool !!

I would recommend this.

Pros: 2 1/2 years and its still running like a champ. It's quiet and reliable.

Cons: None, it's worked perfectly for over 2 years, so I'm happy.

Other Thoughts: I'd recommend it for sure. Has been a great PSU for a long time going now.

4 out of 5 eggsnice overall

Pros: nice p/s; love the modular design as it really cleans up cable clutter; seems well made; has a nice weight to it; quiet

Cons: the split 12 v bus may not be the best design; had to play around with power distribution to get a GTX 650 running
