three broken eggs for bogus rebate hassle
- Pros: great looking psu, modular, sure it'll work great. fit and finish very nice. cord wraps are nice. I'm mounting mine on the bottom of a 900 so the label's upside down but np. Very nice looking and apparently well thought out unit...read on............ :)
- Cons: rebate (((( sigh )))) - okay, so the primary i chose this over the other one was for the "$30-" rebate. get the unit fast (thanks newegg) open (great packaging and presentation), get 'er all set up and now it's time to figure out the rebate...O M G........1st: could it possibly get anymore confusing? OCZ requires that you pick your exact PSU, from whom you purchased it (they list multiple vendors), in the correct time frame choice (which week did you order it; no, which week did you pay for it; no, which week did it get invoiced; no, which week did it get sales ordered...Good Luck trying to figure it out. There are multiple configurations that you have to get correct or you don't get the correct rebate issued. After I put all my info almost 90 minutes later, i'm finally told the $30. rebate is actually $20...and I'll receive it in 8 -10 weeks, but i can get it sooner...for $2.00. So I get an $18.00 rebate instead of a $30 after 90 minutes of headbanging...Thanks OCZ :) !!
- Other Thoughts: I definetely woulda bought something else for 99. (prolly the antec mod) if i knew the rebate was gonna be such a hassle...

Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry that you had problems with the online rebate registration. Overall we have had good reaction to the recent change to this new system. It does require that you identify your product, date purchased, etcetera, to check your rebate qualifications. As far as the $30 vs $20 issue, we are unsure of the cause of this, but will gladly look into it for you. Please email rebates@ocztechnology.com and include your full name, address, product and date purchased. If we find an error, we will correct it. Our goal is to have satisfied customers. Thank you
Been working so far
- Pros: 600w 80plus certified, modular, Voltages measured by multimeter under load are very close to their stated specs
- Cons: 4-pin\8-pin cpu power connector aren't removable, so your stuck with an extra cable hanging in your case depending on what your setup requires
- Other Thoughts: Have it powering a DFI LP JR P45-T2RS LGA 775 Intel P45 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard, HIS HD4850, Q9550, 4gb DDR2-1000 G.SKILL ram (2.1v), a 640gb WD Caviar, and a 20x Liteon dvd burner, all that is overclockable currently stock except the 4850, which is factory OCed.

A good experience
- Pros: Excellent value with rebate. Good build quality. Modular cables.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: The rebate process was smoother than I expected from reading other reviews. OCZ scanned all of my rebate documents and gave excellent feedback throughout the rebate process. Just make sure you use the NewEgg for for the time period when you bought the product.
