2 out of 5 eggsEhh,idk

Pros: Great wattage for price
Looks Great
Modular

Cons: None besides what i have found in my psu

Other Thoughts: I recommend buying from a well known producer like corsair,EVGA,Coolermaster.

I have hat this PSU for almost 2 years now and it is not providing stable voltage to my motherboard and its pcie slots, and other slots of that sort but it has held up well enough to provide just enough for my GPU.I dont recommend this unless you are on a tight budget and have no choice, please go with corsair power supplies

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Price, good amount of wires

Cons: I tried this in 2 different computers and while the lights on my motherboards lit up, my system itself would not power on; I exchanged it and had the same issue so I finally ended up returning it for a Corsair 750w PSU and everything worked. Perhaps it was bad luck on my part but I wasn't risking it a 3rd time.

As for the PSU itself, the 8 pin EPS power cable is far too short; I had to go out and buy an extension cord just to get it to fit into place over my video card. The specs also list this PSU as SLI certified but it doesn't come with enough PCI-e cables to power a second video card.

3 out of 5 eggsGood, but the noise overshadows the good.

Pros: The power supply has supplied enought power to all my components. even a R9 290 that requires 2 8-pin connections.

Cons: THE FAN IS LOUD! i know this is a standard 80plus PSU but thats no excuse for the fan being loud as it is. I'm considering getting a platinum PSU since they're coming down to a more affordable price and the fans almost don't even activate unless its like under 90< percent usage. which will rarely ever happen.

Other Thoughts: Over all, a good power supply. its just that its loud. if you dont care about loudness, then hell yes buy it. but if not, go for soemthing a little more high tier. might cost more, but itll be quiet and energy efficient

2 out of 5 eggsShorted out and made a really loud noise before dying

Pros: Worked for 4 years

Cons: Exploded inside my computer, startled my cats and made an awful smell.

Other Thoughts: I didn't check to see if anything got inside the unit but still...

4 out of 5 eggsdescent

Pros: Runs a typical box just fine. Modular as described.
8pin and 24 pin cables were only ones permanently attached.

Cons: 8-pin cpu cable was of length intending for this PSU to be top mounted in a case. Well, I purchased a NZXT Phantom 410 Series which is designed to mount the PSU on the bottom. Once mounted, the 8-pin barely reached the top of the mobo. It did reach, but even with good wire management, this cable crosses over expansion cards and cpu heat sink/fan. looks bad.

5 out of 5 eggsStill Kicking

Pros: Running a Phenom X3 and Radeon HD 5770 and about 4 HDDs like a champ for 5 years now.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Looking it up again because I'm curious of the TDP 200W R9 280 will work alright with it. Not sure yet, but I'd imagine yes. That said, if it kicked it after 5 years because I threw a beastly graphics card in it I wouldn't be that upset with it.

5 out of 5 eggsOCZ ModXStream Pro 700W 80Plus

Pros: Had this since Order Date: 02/01/2009 and it still kicking it was inside a ROOM of heavy smokers and not just ciggs LOL... i sware there was this black dust inside there i never seen or smelt before and it still going im gonna buy another one maybe just to rebuild my old setup in a HTPC case 5 stars my only hesitation right now is that OCZ does not make PSU anymore and not sure if that means we wont get product support and the machine was on for 6.5 years down for 2 weeks bc of hurricane sandy that was IT

Cons: SEMI MODULAR BUT ITS NOT A CON 5 eggs

Other Thoughts: if you would of seen the ammount of black nasty dust inside this machine you would of all been suprised it still ran they cleaned the pc out 2x in 6 years ... sad that psus became non profitable for ocz bc they made the best psus i think

3 out of 5 eggsAverage PowerSupply

Pros: Ran on a machine nonstop for 2 years.

Cons: Died after 2 years. Powersupply just popped. Only good thing is, is that nothing else died with it.
