5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU, still running after 4 years

Pros: I purchased this PSU 4 years ago, and it is still running perfectly. This PSU is extremely quiet, and came with all of the required cables I could've needed. Even after 4 years, I haven't needed anything extra. Cable management is a breeze. It is easy to route and keep my case clean.

Cons: It's not fully modular. Not a problem when I first purchased it, but I will get a full modular in the future.

Other Thoughts: The only cable that is too short for me is the 8 pin CPU connector. I had to route this in front of the MB, and squeeze it between my GPU and the motherboard. I got my 8 inch extension, and I've got it nicely routed behind the backplate. All other extensions, to include to 20+4 have been long enough.
I have this in an NZXT Phantom, full tower. It's the largest case I've owned, and everything fits fine with a full ATX MB. I will keep this brand when I purchase my next PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome power supply for the money

Pros: Wife was needing a new computer to build, and so she needed a new power supply. No need to get her a heap o'mega watts ! 700 watts should do the trick running 2- 25" 2K monitors, i7-4790K, Nvidia 960, ASUS W/6 SATA-6 ports filled up running, 5 hard drives ( 1-1TB, 2- 2TB, 1-3TB & 1-256Gb SSD Samsung Pro ) one multi card reader, and 4 case fans. And most likely she will add another Nvidia 960 card later this year to all this. So I would definitely say this is the best bang for the buck ! !

Cons: None at the moment.

5 out of 5 eggsSecond OCZ PSU

Pros: silent
runs all hardware no problems
modular cabling was very nice
comes with a case for holding extra cables

Cons: not really a con but this bad boy is big, may not fit in smaller cases

Update: I originally bought this in 2009 it died November 2015 without warning. Computer was turned off and never came back on.

Other Thoughts: this was my first modular power supply and I will never use any other kind. cables routed nicely. This is my second OCZ and I have come to really respect this company. The rebate process for my first one was easy even though the wait was long and I expect no problems this time around. The rebate process is the same for almost all products on newegg I really hate when people take off eggs because of this. If there are any problems use OCZ's forum. I had a question about my first one and had a detailed response within 24 hours.

2 out of 5 eggsWow that's a short cable

Pros: Well packaged and a nice layout. Looks to be well built

Cons: The bean counters decided to cut the cables short. Each is about 2" shorter than usual. The ATX 24 pin connector and the 8 pin CPU connector barely fit in a mid-tower case with a full size ATX board. I was unable to hide the cabling as the cables had to be stretched across the case in order to fit.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this power supply.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth the trouble.

Pros: Great price on sale. Normally 100 bucks got it for 60.

Cons: Cables to short. Currently using a medium size case and can't even plug the motherboard in. Don't waste your time. Makes your case ugly because the cables are to short to run behind like 95% of new cases are build for.

1 out of 5 eggsWarranty is Worthless

Pros: Modular.
Vendor support was prompt.

Cons: PSU failed after less than 3 years. I sent the unit in for RMA, and received a defective unit in return. The replacement PSU failed in less than 2 minutes, and FirePower Technologies refused to replace the defective replacement. I wasted money on shipping costs to receive a paper-weight as a replacement to my warrantied product. Support stated that my original warranty had expired, so their replacement PSU (which is dead) isn't going to be replaced.

FirePower Technologies does not seem to care about the quality of their products, or the experience of their customers.

Other Thoughts: Warranty is worthless. I will no longer be purchasing any product from FirePower Technologies.
