Bought for gaming
- Pros: Slick design, awesome fan thats lightly lit by crimson leds that are subtle and accent the power supply without imposing itself into any other lighting in the case, whisper quiet also.
Modular is always a plus, this runs a Radeon HD 4830 without any problems with loads of drives and fans on it.
Very good quality, and design, heavy, sturdy, wires and mesh are nice, length good, kind of hard to bend and manipulate at first, but nothing major.
Fits my Achilles case perfectly.
Good clean useful power, amps on the wires are just right to run everything you need.
The bag that holds the cords is even quality material, they didn't cheap out anywhere from what I can see.
- Cons: Its been a con that I thought I could cheap out all these years with generic power supplies, the money I sank down for this was immediately noticed as a great investment right as I opened the box and saw the quality of what I just bought, time will tell, but I'm sure this will last more then afew years.
- Other Thoughts: I've never been a big 3d pc gamer up until recently, when I decided to finally buy a Radeon HD 4830, and as soon as I got it, I realized that my 600 watt no name PSU couldn't even run it, and all of my other equally no named PSU's were the same way, they all ran normal stuff, but not with the card, I figured it was an amp issue, and prepared to buy a better PSU, I found this one and thought about it for a week while looking at other ones, and let me save you some time and say that this is the only big amp big watt good reputable power supply in this price bracket with all these features.
Just buy it, and feel good knowing that your computer wont fry with a PSU like this.
OCZ Fatal1ty 550W PS
- Pros: Easy install with modular cable connects, cable lengths appropriate for a large case, sufficient power for 9800GTX+ video card (few power supplies in this price range are), good efficiency - with over 80%, and looks nice with red leds in a case with a side window (pretty minor, but might be important to some).
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: Power supply seems very solid and well built - and the new video card looks great!

- Pros: Great modular design allows you to plug in only cables you need
Comes with a pouch to store unused cables
Very quiet.
- Cons: The ATX12V cable was just long enough to cross over my video card to reach. Whew! 2~3 inches longer would be nice.
- Other Thoughts: I am very glad I paid a few extra bucks for this quality product. Will definitely buy OCZ PS again.
