4 out of 5 eggsFarewell Sweet Prince

Pros: Was very easily installed
Loved the red LEDs
Lasted 2 years and 3 months

Cons: After two years this PSU finally popped and I have started the RMA process. I am hoping this process will be smooth so I can get back to gaming. Thanks to the 3 year warranty I'll only have to pay for shipping it to them.

2 out of 5 eggsDied under 2 years.

Pros: Good power, quiet

Cons: Started failing under 2 years. Bought 6/6/2011 and it's now 4/29/2013. Started making crackling noises this week when I turned on the power to my machine. Machine won't power on occasionally. RMAing the PSU to avoid damaging other components.

Other Thoughts: Not sure about OCZ, I read online that they use cheap capacitors.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Anonymous,

We are sorry to read of your problems with this PSU after nearly 2 years. It appears we are already arranging for a replacement. If you experience any issues with the RMA process please contact our Support Forum or reply to your ticket and we will help however possible.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Kind Regards,
OCZ Support

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing PSU

Pros: I've had this baby for over 2 years now and it's still going as strong as the day I bought it.

I've had everywhere from crossfire 7770s to a GTX 550 to a 7870 running on this baby and it's performed flawlessly.

Fan is still running without a hitch, no noises or anything.

Cons: Absolutely nohing at all.

Other Thoughts: Fantastic PSU.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great price for modular power supply. Red LED lights, cables were bundled nicely and made for easy clean routing.

Cons: Turned it on one morning, there was a loud buzz, a little bit of smoke and a strong burning smell. Dead power supply after 22 months.

Other Thoughts: Easy RMA through OCZ. I sent them the dead power supply and all the cables. They sent me a reman 750 watt Fatality power supply. Couldn't be happier. Thank you OCZ

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Consumer,

While I would prefer your first unit didn't experience a failure at all, I am glad the RMA process left you satisfied. Thank you for your purchase and don't hesitate to contact us if you need any assistance.

Sincerely,
OCZ Support

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: -still running 3 years after I got it
-can handle close to the advertised wattage
-modular helps with cable management

Cons: -was expensive and though my unit is still running fine, there usually are better quality units for the price out there. If on sale, then it may be worth considering
-no option to turn off LEDs, though most PSUs with them probably don't have that either

5 out of 5 eggsGreat power supply. Quiet after 2 years.

Pros: Great, high quality power supply. Really well built, connectors fit in snugly.

Molex pins don't wiggle around tons.

Added cable bag makes me feel fancy

Sleeved cables look rad.

Cons: Didn't come with two Pci-e 8 pin connectors, just 1 six and 1 6+2, but that was likely intentional, as 2 8 pins would be found on a higher wattage PSU.

Other Thoughts: My system uses about 230 watts on max load, so this leaves (hopefully) plenty of headroom for the capacitors to compensate in the event of a brown out. Don't cheap out on your PSU. It's very very important.

1 out of 5 eggs3 Months... that's it?

Pros: Worked fine until it didn't

Cons: Daily use between 0 and 5 hours a day, worked just fine until last night, POP and it's dead. ONLY 3 MONTHS OLD

Other Thoughts: I will be more than happy to add some eggs to my review depending on how the RMA process works with Fatality, however right now I have a dead machine and no idea if it took out anything else with it, so I'm still pretty angry. 3 months? c'mon that's just rediculous.

Manufacturer Response:

This is definitely not normal or expected behavior for any PSU. If you have any issues with the RMA process please contact me directly at rcampbell at ocztechnology dot com and I will help however possible. I’m very sorry for the failure and inconvenience!

1 out of 5 eggsDied less than 2 years

Pros: It is a power supply

Cons: One day after about 20 months of use it started freaking out the video card then started to smell like it was burning and then died and took the motherboard with it.

Other Thoughts: I have build many computers and have had some PS go bad but this is the first one to kill the motherboard

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry to hear about the sudden problems with your system and the Fatal1ty PSU. It is very usual for a PSU to cause a video card to start burning but continue to work until taking a motherboard with it. Regardless, per warranty terms OCZ will of course stand behind the PSU and assist with assuring the PSU meets to load requirements of your current system. Please contact our Tech Support or Support Forum and we will help you however possible!

5 out of 5 eggsSweet little supply!

Pros: Runs cool and quiet, Red LED, inexpensive

Cons: Not completely modular, Some cables aren't as long as they could be

Other Thoughts: I've had this supply for almost 3 years now. It was running an Intel Q8200 Core 2 Quad 2.33GHz on a Micro-ATX Mobo, but now it's running an AMD FX-8150 3.6GHz on a full ATX Mobo. This little guy puts out plenty of power for everything I've thrown at it. Runs cool and quiet. Definitely a must buy for anyone looking for an inexpensive supply.
