3 out of 5 eggsLooks nice

Pros: Looks great with the red fan and LED's showing the fatal1ty symbol. Lasted for a few years.

Cons: Its been slowly dying on me. Will shut off randomly. Usually would do it maybe once a month. Just recently started to turn off and on and off and on... It would work sometimes if the main switch was shut off for a bit and then flipped back on. But sometimes it was just very temperamental and wouldn't work.

So needless to say this one is done for and I am going to go with a PSU brand with a better rep in my opinion. Luckily I have a Laptop otherwise I would be a fish out of water right now.

Never had 2 PSU's die on me in the same CPU. First was a Rosewill.

Other Thoughts: Computer:
Core i7 920
Nvidia GTX260
Velociraptor 300G
Bluray rom.
9 g ddr3 ram.

3 out of 5 eggsIncompatable with most UPS's

Pros: Nice dependable powersupply.

Cons: This power supply is not compatable with most UPS's. It requires an expensive "Pure Sine Wave" UPS. My advice is to avoid these PS's since it limits what you can do with them and UPS protection is about four times the cost.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: -Full of red LED's, yet not too bright/tacky
-Red cable sleeving
-Large single 12V rail for reliable power
-Long and plentiful cables
-Quiet

Cons: Not enough to take an egg off, especially considering the price and how nice the LED's look, but worth noting:
-Green "on" LED kind of kills all the other red LED's
-Wish it had four PCI-e connectors instead of two
-Not modular, although I hear non-modular designs are more reliable
-Sleeving makes the cables kinda thick/rigid, made cable management in my Antec P180 Mini (yes, a microATX case) a challenge
-Sleeving is only up to the first connector of each SATA/peripheral bunch
-Sleeving is like 50% transparent, wish it wasn't transparent at all

Other Thoughts: Right now, this power supply is a little overkill for my current setup (an i5 750, a HD5770, one HDD and one SSD), but I eventually plan to add another HD5770 (and possibly another HDD too),and also overclock everything, so having all that headroom will be nice; not to mention, it goes great with my red/black theme.

As for the sleeving (which I commented on quite a bit), I think I might end up removing it and sleeving it myself, mostly to get something less rigid and less transparent, and also covering up some connectors to save space.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent PS!

Pros: Stable! Well made! Looks very sharp in a clear sided case. The red back-lit logo on it is mucho-sharp. The power wires are plenty long for any tower size, the power lines are each wrapped in own tube, so very easy to route, and to conceal. (NO messy balls of power wiring) A+ on this one.

Cons: None, so far. Except no zip ties for routing... I know picky picky..

Other Thoughts: Ridiculously packaged for a Power Supply ( As in overkill ) better packaged than my CPU, MB, or Video card,.... hell better packaged than the tower I ordered.

1 out of 5 eggsLet Down

Pros: Not bad looking

Cons: I have always had good luck and stood by OCZ for all my builds. This set of memory had me testing for a month trying to get the performance it states. System ran lousy no matter what I did. So I RMA'd the memory and the new memory is no better. After being without my new pc for a while dealing with other rma's I am just stickin with this memory because it doesn't seem I have a choice other than to get sent another set of the same junk. Everything is brand new and I have tried swapping out all components and tried this memory in another machine with no luck. It defaults to 1066 and anything other than that makes system unstable on 2 systems. The rated 1600 sky rockets my cpu voltage causing high heat levels even set at 1.65 in bios. My i7 machine should be faster than my old p4 don't you think. You win some, you lose some. Next time I will buy a dependable Dell and lose the headaches.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, this is a PSU, and the review you wrote is for memory, however:

5 out of 5 eggsplenty of power

Pros: lots of power, more connections than you could shake a stick at, very quiet, 80 plus certified, red LED fan gives off nice ambience, not pink or orange looking like most "red" LEDs, Fatal1ty window on side thats lit up red by the LED fan pretty sylish if you dont have a bottom mount PSU chassis, although in my case thats fine too looks nice from a high angle to the side window, gives the build more depth and character lol. comes with pre-installed shrink tubed red cable sheathing providing a nice custom touch for that clean look with no additional effort

Cons: none thanks to extensive cable management in my case (was listed as modular when i purchased, but no big deal) see my NZXT Tempest Evo review for more details

Other Thoughts: Build Specs stage 1

Case: NZXT Tempest Evo
PSU: OCZ Fatality series 700 Watt

Motherboard: Asus M4A78T-E
GPU: AMD 790GX onboard with 128MB sideport plus 512MB RAM allocated for graphics use (ATI Radeon HD 3300)

CPU: (socket AM3) AMD Phenom II X2 550 3.1 GHz Callisto Black Edition (Quad Core unlocked)
RAM: OCZ (2x2GB) 1600MHz DDR3 AMD Black Edition Ready CL8 dual channel kit

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit

retained a 120GB PATA Maxtor diamondmax and Lite-On DVD/CD burner from my old comp due to my overshooting $500 budget for the build by about $100 a small temporary sacrifice to have the brands and components i wanted.

Accessories: New Car Scent tree hanging in the case to cover up the new computer PVC bleach smell emitted due to the massive airflow

5 out of 5 eggsSolid PSU

Pros: Great price, easy install, good cable management, love the red LED, goes well with my 922m HAF and the Thermaltake Heat sink. For first time builder, this was not a bad install.

Cons: Could have had better cable setup like the Ultra's that have the individual spots to plug them in for a cleaner setup with less clutter with leftover wires.

Other Thoughts: Gives solid performance and visually better than most in this range. There needs to be more PSU's with red LED's, not all are blue!
SYSTEM:

5 out of 5 eggsPower supply works great!

Pros: It's a really nice power supply. Low noise, the red LED's look cool, and so far I haven't had any problems with it.

Cons: LOTS of cable. I have a lot of red wire mesh jammed into my case now due to the amount. If you have anything other than a medium-large case, avoid this PSU!!
