1 out of 5 eggsCheap, Faulty, Quality not there

Pros: there are plenty of plug to satisfied most and people i paired this with a Oc'd i5 2500k and two GTX460 in SLI worked great for the first three weeks, and sometimes it works like it should other times it will not work to do a random lost of power

Cons: anytime my computer is bumped it either shuts off completely and waits to cool off b4 you can turn it back on, or sometimes if you bump it it will just completely shut off and turn right back on on its own like the power just cut off.

Other Thoughts: if you google this product you will see that it is more than likely a manufacturing error and they know about it and this is very very common with this manual, i would say stick away from this product, i bought it referbushed and i dont think that they even checked the product b4 reselling it... it started giving me problems 3 weeks into it and i spendt a week trouble shooting it and by the time i figured out it was the power supply it was a week passed neweggs 30 day exchange policy, and another thing is i am pretty sure that it also fried my Seagate 1Tb Hdd Sata 6.0Gb/s harddrive as it just shut down once and would turn back on for 15mins and when it finally turned back on my Seagate 1Tb didnt show up and still doesnt work not even in the bio, but the OCZ Agility 3 and 3 year old seagate 500gig still work perfectly..

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsNot at all happy...

Pros: Price

Cons: Fan makes a mild whine
Constant mystery reboots
Had to RMA and pay shipping myself

Other Thoughts: I bought this PSU some time ago for a computer I was yet to build. I finally built it about a month ago, and since then, I've had constant mystery reboots and occasional outright shutdowns, with nothing in the Windows 7 event logs to clue me in as to what was happening.

Finally, today I had another outright shutdown, but it wouldn't power back up. I disconnected the main and ATX connectors from the motherboard and connected them to an ATX PSU tester. At that moment, it tested fine. Then I connected a PCIe connector, and it went dead.

Thinking that my PSU tester could be faulty, I hooked up a different brand-new, unused PSU, and it was fine.

I tried the OCZ again, and suddenly it worked.

So I called tech support, and while the technician agreed that the power supply is faulty. But instead of opening an RMA right then and there, he told me I had to go to their web site and create a support ticket, and have to pay for the shipping to them.

Really lousy support for a lousy p

5 out of 5 eggsChampion so Far

Pros: Works great so far. Haven't had any issue with the unit, does everything that i says it will do.

Cons: Nothing yet

Other Thoughts: Waiting to see if I have issues like the other reviewers. I hope not, have gotten really good reviews from other users that swear by OCZ which I now will do as well until I have a reason not to.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: worked when I got it. And then for 2 yrs 3 mo. Easy install. Like the blue fan. OCZ said they would replace it but still waiting for the new one. Had a lifetime warranty but that only works as long a the product is "supported". Code for as long as we buildem.

Cons: Quit after a little over 2 yrs. PS lights were flashing and fans were running slow as seen by other users. Why the H@#$ does someone have to be home to sign for the replacement PS? Had it sent to a bud who has a business. Users claim u can get the replacement then send the bad back. Will see

Other Thoughts: Emailed OCZ for a RMA. Fast reply. But understand I was using my sons laptop as he was home from school. Then he left. Cant email for RMA info or get email on my computer. Its broke dud duh. There was no phone # for OCZ on the reply email. Had to text son to relay info. Live n small town. No other cpu to easily use.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we are sorry for the problem. Our support staff will be sure that you are taken care of.

1 out of 5 eggsUndergoing RMA

Pros: Good price..looks cool w blue fan

Cons: Stoped working after a year, makes chirping noise and struggles to power on.

I have seen the same problem with dozens of people on other forums. Its very likely it's a manufacturing problem on their part.

when triying to RMA the tech has the nerv to tell me

"the UPS may have damaged the power supply. A derived, stepped, or simulated sine wave can damage the active power factor correction in our power supply over time."

really do you think I was born yesterday?

how about you admit your psu's are being rma'd like crazy because of your own manufacturing errors.

Other Thoughts: Still undergoing rma process...ugh

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we are sorry for the problem. Our support staff will get you set up with a replacement unit. The statement you quote may be the opinion of a specific support tech, but does not in any way effect your OCZ warranty. It was for information purposes only.
Thank you

3 out of 5 eggsWorked Great... for 2-3 years.

Pros: Worked smooth until recently...

Cons: Same problems as other owners, as you turn it on something is loose and it makes a sparking sound. It does not send the power in a constant stream and flickers.

Probably poor manufacturing procedure, as other users have reported the same exact problem.

Other Thoughts: I would send it back, but my curiosity got the better of me and I opened it up to clean it out (which voids the warranty).

The fan was absolutely covered with dust and grime, which I thought might make a difference, but nothing.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we are sorry for the problem. Heat could be a factor in the failure, as a dirty PSU is not cooled as efficiently. Heat can cause component issues. We would replace your PSU if your 3 year warranty has not expired. Unfortunately, openeing the case does void the warranty.
Thank you
