1 out of 5 eggsBig boom!

Pros: Modular

Cons: Totally unreliable. I never had this PSU in any high power rig. Originally bought it in 2012 for low power HTPC: passive nVidia GeForce, low TDP CPU passively cooled etc. Last year I built a NAS: 4 HDs, 20W Atom CPU, 32GB RAM, RAID card. Absolutely nothing demanding. And today after BIG BOOM! I found a piece of ferrite under PSU and the NAS is dead (the data loss still to be determined). Piece of junk.

Other Thoughts: Don't touch it with a 50ft pole and run away. Oh, and I am ineligible for return. Makes me wonder how I can get a refund, because I don't want another OCZ PSU.

1 out of 5 eggsPower Supply Died and company diapeared

Pros: Looks good; Greate cables,

Cons: No longer works; not clear where the warranty service is.

Other Thoughts: I bought this power supply 12/2011. It came with a 5 years warranty. The power supply died a few months ago. Unfortunately, I do not seem to be able to replace it because the warranty site (www.ocztechnology.com/support/ticket.html) seems to no longer exist. In its place appears ocz.com, which no longer lists power supplies as one of their products..

Seeing that Newegg is still selling the product, I wonder who is now providing warranty service for this product.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome power supply

Pros: This is the best PSU I have owned. It has worked flawlessly for 2 years now. At one point it got wet while I was moving but after cleaning it with some Iso. alcohol and letting it dry out it still works great. The fully modular design makes cable management easy and all the cables are more than long enough even for a very large tower.

Cons: The fan in it is a bit on the loud side but nothing that should be worried about.

Other Thoughts: My build is an AMD FX 8150 on an ASUS Crosshair Formula V overclocked to 4.5GHZ. Two Radoen HD 7970 gpus in crossfire. Water cooled running 3 pumps and 7 fans. Im not sure how much power my machine is drawing but this PSU can handle it.

5 out of 5 eggs2 1/2 years and still running

Pros: I bought this CPU for a new Intel build and I have not had a problem with it in this time. I would recommend it to anyone. At first I didn't want the modular unit, but it saved a bunch of space in my build.

Cons: No problems at all

4 out of 5 eggsGood Power Supply

Pros: Modular power hookups are freaking amazing. It makes cable management a breeze.

Easily handles a mid-high performance machine

Doesn't have any heating issues

Cons: The fan is a little loud, but I wear headphones so it doesn't matter much. The only time there is a problem is when I'm trying to record with my studio mic and it pics up the fan if I'm too close to the machine, but that's why you're supposed to be in a separate room anyways.

3 out of 5 eggsBOOM!

Pros: Ran very well for a little over a year.

Cons: It exploded with a loud boom, (Like a .38 caliber
pistol shot next to me) and went dead. Provided quite an adrenaline rush as I thought it WAS a gunshot. Did not damage computer otherwise as far as I can tell.

Other Thoughts: OCZ was easy to deal with and just shipped me a new unit so we'll see how that works.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Fully modular. Purchased it while it was on sale. I invested many hours researching several brands, models, wattage's etc..and I am very pleased with what I choose. Cables came in a nice velco bag to consolidate left over cables. All cables came wrapped in black braided mesh and heat shrunk on ends, and plenty of cables for future expansion or light mods. The fan is very quiet and removes heat well. I have 2 blue cathode tubes & 2 blue LED spotlights, and still have plenty of ports on PSU left. This is a bit on the pricey side, but with the gold rating and quality build, I will not have to worry about it shorting out any of my other expensive components. Overall, this PSU is worth the money, and I am very happy with my purchase.

Cons: It would be nice to have a LED fan. But not worth less than a perfect rating.
