5 out of 5 eggsgreat customer service

Pros: nice modular PSU; sleeved cables. Great customer service: after a year and expanding my HDs in my build, I ran out of SATA power cables and couldn't make some of the empty SATA power reach my HD in my case. So I wrote to OCZ support on their web site and they are sending me a free SATA power cable. Otherwise I would've had to use a SATA Y splitter or a molex to SATA convertion. Haven't gotten the cable yet but I'm loving their service. Way to stand by your product. BTW: the 550 only has 2 SATA cables each supporting 3 SATA drives.

Cons: with my case (ANTEC P280) and bottom power mount, I needed a Linkworld 33cm ATX power supply 24 pin to 24 pin extension/adapter Cable Model 24-24 to reach the MOBO and still have great cable management. But this is case specific. The Antec P280 is a nice case; elegant and large.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent PSU

Pros: 550W at a good price, low noise, and the modular cabling is a huge plus. I live in a 2-bedroom apartment that is mildly furnished, and it keeps my electric bills very low despite constant use.

Cons: Could've used more SATA power cables and less IDE cables.

Other Thoughts: The black and yellow scheme is awesome

5 out of 5 eggsOCZ ZT 550W mudular 80 plus Power supply.

Pros: Neweggs service, price and delivery. Supplies ample wattage, runs cool, modular, you use only the cables needed. Cables long enough to reach. I did use a extention on the 8 pin motherboard cable, in a bottom mount case. Makes a nice, neat, case inside.

Cons: Not really but, the flat cables take a little getting used to. These would be the sata and 4 pin molex.

Other Thoughts: I own 2 other OCZ power supplies. The same of this one in the "ZS" flavor and a Stealth X Stream 2, 500W. All have performed well. Not sure whats going on with the rebate deal, but I always get mine.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - Silent
- Fully modular
- Plenty of cables

Cons: - Some of the cabling is strange. They should have included single connectors rather than just cables of 3.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Modular PSU

Pros: The fan is as silent as any I've seen, and it was for an amazing price. Puts out more than enough for my rig.

Cons: None really, though the modular connections consume space near my fan vent.

Other Thoughts: The black and yellow is sexy.

5 out of 5 eggsGood quality, value

Pros: Got $30 from a newegg sale and then $20 off with a mail in rebate. Original price $89, got it for $39. Could not find a modular 80 plus 500 + watt PSU anywhere else for this price. Comes with molex and SATA connectors. Very quiet fan, almost silent. 80 plus certified. Received rebate gift card a month later.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Best value PSU anywhere.

3 out of 5 eggsPoor cable management UPDATED

Pros: I have had this for a few days now and it seems to run fine. My old power supply was a 450-watt standard no-name brand. I went from using about 97 watts to 73 watts of power with this power supply. Tested with a KILL A WATT. Packaging is very nice.

Cons: The mainboard 24pin power cable was a little too long. It comes with 2 sets of SATA cables and each one has 3 SATA connectors on it. The distance between each connector was not sufficient to connect my 2 hard drives and DVD drive so I had to use the second one. I also have a fan that uses 4pin IDE so I had to hook that one in too. I now have 3 SATA connectors and 3 IDE connectors that are hooked to nothing. Despite being modular, cable management was poor. My system still looks the way it did with the old power supply.

Other Thoughts: I wish OCZ had provided some single SATA connector cables or at least sell them which OCZ does not seem to do as far as I can tell. For some reason there are 5 peripheral ports but only 4 peripheral (SATA/IDE) cables. I will update this review if/when I receive the rebate and if it should quit working within the warranty period.
Update: I have recieved my rebate, it came in the form of a American Express prepaid card. This limits where you can spend the money.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Deal Around

Pros: This is the best PSU I've purchased. It's a steal. You get a 5 year warranty plus fully modular and it's compatible with sandy bridge. I mean come on you can't beat that.

Cons: NO Cons

Other Thoughts: Just speachless. I mean its dead silent i dont hear a thing. i literly have to put my head right up to it to hear it. It is perfect for my current case. I Highly Recommend!

5 out of 5 eggsworks great so far

Pros: whisper quiet, fully modular.

Cons: Big, didn't fit perfect in case I had to jam-it on the one. Not a problem for me but might be a problem for others. The ATX power cable clips fine to my MB but seems to not "clip" into the PS and may come out if you move cables around and/or are always fiddling with things in your case, not a problem for me but you should BE AWARE. I can see someone getting very frustrated or returning because the ATX cable unknowingly came lose from the PS and they think its a bad PS.
