5 out of 5 eggsStill kicking years later

Pros: Powered 2x 6870 SLI without any problems but I had to remove Creative X-fi and on board audio is just too terrible. Decided to sell 2 6870 for 1 7850 which I still have.

I think the amps are enough to handle almost any single GPU honestly. 54A on the rail and most GPUs require about 45 amps.

Cons: It's price has gone up. I got on sale for $89 years ago.

Other Thoughts: Solid investment to pick OCZ at the time.

5 out of 5 eggsA perfect 10 so far

Pros: It’s been running flawlessly since I bought it in May 2013 before Firepower (formerly PC Power & Cooling) took over.

FX-8320
16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600
WD VelociRaptor 500GB
R7 250 1GB GDDR5

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: OCZ must have commanded some respect from its peers with Firepower taking over it's power supply unit and Toshiba buying its SSD unit.

4 out of 5 eggsGOOD LITTLE PSU

Pros: has some really good weight to it. I always feel the heavier the PSU the better it is build. All cables are modular, even the ones you know you are going to have to have like the 24 pin and the motherboard 4-8 pin. Thought it was odd not to have those just hard wired in, and made the cable management take a little longer since they weren't. For me the cables where tad small for them but I do have a huge extended ATX case.

Cons: none so far. still working and boots up every time so far.

5 out of 5 eggsOrphan?

Pros: Fully Modular -but you knew that . Cables are plenty long.

Cons: Cables might be too long for some mid-tower cases.

Other Thoughts: OZC look to be going under and warranties will be problematic.

1 out of 5 eggsDead in 7 months

Pros: For ~7 months, this unit worked fine in my custom gaming rig. As it was my first rig, I might be biased, but this power units did every thing that it needed to do, except for having a long life.

Cons: As the title states, this unit was dead with 7 months. As I am not an expert with computer hardware, I had to take my rig to a local computer shop for a diagnostic to confirm that the power unit was dead.

I had origionaly compilied this rig with the expectation of overclocking in the future on an as needed basis. With an i5-3570k, GA-Z77X-UD3H ATX LGA1155 Motherboard, multiple fans, and a 650 Watt power supply, I thought that I had a setup that would have lasted a couple years at least.

Other Thoughts: When I bought this, it had a nice rebate attached. Guess I get what I paid for.

3 out of 5 eggsDidn't last very long

Pros: quite and lots of power amperage

Cons: Bought from NE 1/9/2012 and it just went bad today, 12/28/2013, but I have had weird crashes for several months and I now think they may have been this PS failing related as I got messages in Win7 after a restart each time that the "battery was low" This morning computer would not boot up, it kept recycling from off to trying to boot to off. finally had to turn the PS switch off.

Other Thoughts: Replaced with a temp PS and not problems so far
