4 out of 5 eggsWow

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: It was cheap.
It is big in terms of watt, that's why it's perfect for a gaming rig.
The cable can be removed.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome PSU!

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: It's fully modular and only cost me $69.99 with emailed coupon and FREE shipping! It's still running very well!

Cons: NO CONS

Other Thoughts: It's unfortunate that OCZ has gone out of business, but at least I was able to get a great deal on a great product while they were still going strong.

1 out of 5 eggsDied within two months...reconsider

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: Worked like a charm
no complaints about the fan being loud

Cons: Obviously died within two months

Other Thoughts: So Just saying
I checked OCZ site and they are not offering warranty on power supplies anymore.
I hope that i am wrong because my build is a big paperweight as of now.
For future reference consider spending a bit more on a power supply.

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: Quiet. Supports everything i throw at it without any problems, the price point is great, and the cables look good and are still flexible enough to make cable management a breeze

Cons: none as of yet

Other Thoughts: So far it has been running for 8 months non stop.

5 out of 5 eggsRunning SLI now no problem!

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: Modular! This every time with a PSU. I will never buy a non-modular PSU again. Cable long enough to reach almost any case. Single rail make connecting multiple high power GPU's no problem. Quiet.

Cons: I wish all the cable styles matched. The GPU cables are sleeved but all others are not. Would have been nice if they were all uniform. Not a big issue.

1 out of 5 eggsPathetic product, do not buy

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: Doesn't destroy your computer when it stops working?

Cons: 3 RMA's in one year. This product is pathetic.

After about 2 months of assembling...

1st RMA: Some components in the PSU actually exploded and started spewing liquids and smoke into my case. Before anyone says anything, I'm using 750 watts for an i7 mid tier and 7850 graphics card, I dont' game too often, so this PSU should handle everything fine.

6-8 months

2nd RMA: Just stops working

13-14 months

3rd RMA: Just stops working

Also it's extremely loud compared to other PSUs

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet and powerful

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: Full modular
750w powerful
Quiet

Cons: cable is not long enough for some PC case

Other Thoughts: I order this to build my new gaming tower. The product is heavy and feel solid. But when it comes to the cabling, there is a little issue. The CPU and motherboard power cables are not long enough for my P280 case. I have to order extension cable to make it work under the case. other than that, I am happy with the power supply.

2 out of 5 eggsIt worked for a bit.

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: - fully modular
- looks pretty decent
- dont make an outrageous amount of noise
- plenty of plugs for all my HDDs and such

Cons: - is being RMA'd after only a couple weeks because it cannot take more than about half of its full load without turning off entirely.
- somewhat short mobo power cable.

Other Thoughts: I will update my review after the PSU has been replaced.

I will say that I wish I had simply bought a Corsair PSU, but this one had good reviews and the ZT series seemed pretty good overall. I might have just had bad luck, but it is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear tsnieman,

I am very sorry to read you have experienced issues with your ZT 750 PSU. I am confident our RMA services will completely resolve the issues you have encountered. If you experience any issues with your replacement please contact us again and we will make it right.

2 out of 5 eggsWorks but has vibration issue

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: Works

Cons: A loud vibration noise comes from where external power cord plugs into the unit. If i push the cord in really tight and hold it the vibration goes away but resumes as soon as I let go. I can sometimes jiggle the cord or put pressure on it with the wall and it will eliminate the sound but it eventually needs to be readjusted. The noise is really loud and annoying.

Other Thoughts: I'd like to RMA this but why should I have to go without my computer while I wait for the replacement. Unfortunate that at seemingly working product can be hampered by what seems to be a QC issue.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid PSU - Silent

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: This is my first OCZ PSU. So I was skeptical,.. but no longer.

1) Quiet. People are complaining about noise, and I don't DOUBT them.. but if you get one that is functioning properly.. It is silent. Bottom line.

2) HIGH power and stable power on the rails.. be it 5v, 12v, etc.. this PSU delivers the power.. it's a $200 PSU for $119.

3) No annoying LEDS on this version. BIG PLUS.

4) Easy installation.

5) MODULAR. Modular is so , so handy. If you haven't ever had a modular power supply, you won't go back once you get one.

6) Reputable brand.

7) It does what it says.. and for a PSU.. that is all you want.

8) I run an ASUS Z87-PRO MB, i7-4770k (OC'd to 4.8Ghz) , PC2400 16GB ram, Asus Nvidia GTX 780 , 3 Platter HD's and a 240GB SSD, Optical Drive, 6 Fans, Fan controller, etc.. And this PSU under load has more to give.

9) This PSU *IS* Haswell compliant. Meaning it supports to new states for power stepping. Many conflicting reports on the internet about it. Don't worry I've tested it, it is. Further newegg lists it as so, and I contacted OCZ about it.. all confirmed before I actually tested it.

Cons: For me -- None.

Other Thoughts: Buy this PSU if you need a higher wattage PSU for future proofing or running a high end rig. -- Now, I've read negative reviews about how it's noisy etc.. But, by design it is NOT loud .. it's quiet. Now there may be some defective units out there. But go read reviews on 99.999% of products here, and you are going to see DOA's.. and negative reviews. This just happens, go read reviews on ALL the pSU's.. you are going to find people who've had Bad ones. That's the way it goes.

It's a good buy, one of the best priced 750 watt modular PSU's that is built with quality components.
