4 out of 5 eggsok power supply

Pros: good power supply for the cost...

Cons: power is very decieving... dont know if its because of the power supply or not but when i'm running games on high, the game keeps crashing on me... i have 20 gigs of ram, 1tb storage space with about over 500 gb left, and i'm running an i5 4670k processor, with an h100i liquid cooler and a r9 270x video card... so i have no idea... checked all rams and non that are bad... cant be the processor cooling cause it stays at same temp... so i'm guessing its the ps... i'll be ugrading soon to a 750w ps... hope that does the trick... but overall, this isnt a bad power supply... its ok for for low end - average end builds...

3 out of 5 eggsGood, but not really relevant

Pros: -Modular
-Keeps cool
-Reasonably attractive
-Reliable so far

Cons: - Red LEDs (wish there was at least an on-off or software control)
-Bottom row of modular ports are low on the PSU. That made trying to install a lower intake fan in my NZXT source a VERY tight fit. Specifically for the 8pin CPU lead.
-Price. Not that it's expensive, but it's closely priced with PSUs which are tried and true. Who would honestly choose an OCZ over a corsair PSU with similar wattage for the same money? Sorry OCZ, but you just don't have the rep building PSUs to enter the market at that price point.
- The connectors are braided and wrapped, but in a kind of 'quick and cheap' way. Wires are fully exposed for inches before they enter the sleeve... that means the sleeved part of the cable is behind your mobo tray with the rest of your cable management, and the ugly, color coated wires on your 24 pin are showing. Anyone that wants a wrapped 24 pin lead is doing it because it looks nice, so why do such a sloppy job OCZ?
-The 'red' modular ports are more like 'pink'. Again, relevant to people who are trying to keep aesthetics up
-The Chasis of the psu isn't "square'. Its edges don't share any horizontal or vertical planes with any other component in my system which makes it look slightly slanted. This doesn't effect anything other then aesthetics, but quality is in attention to detail.

Other Thoughts: The LED fan looks like it could easily be swapped out for you modders out there that might want different colored LEDs on your fan.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good PSU.. and I would buy it for 40$ on sale again, but you'd be pretty dumb to grab this over a tried and true top name PSU for the same money
