Topower advances the art of power supply design with the 500W SilentEZ. This semi-modular design has the essential connectors hard wired to maximize conductivity. There are 4 optional cables that you can plug in as needed for your particular build. This keeps the inside of your case neat and helps to optimize air flow.

The dual +12V rails provide stable power even under load. There are 2xSATA, 6xMolex, 1xFDD and 1x6-pin PCIe. The motherboard power connectors let you use this PSU with dual and quad core CPUs

Keeping everything cool is important, that’s why Topower uses a 120mm variable speed fan. The fan also has a turbo switch to force it to spin at top speed to keep all the internal components as cool as possible.

  • newegg ATX12V Compatible Compatible with the ATX12V v2.3 standard, the Topower SilentEZ TOP-500SE power supply provides maximum power stability to drive the latest Intel and AMD processors as well as other system components.

2 out of 5 eggsDOA / Defective

Pros: One of the reasons I bought this was because of the modular connectors.

Cons: either defective or DOA. Computer wouldn't POST or show BIOS - thought it was a defective motherboard, but tried a new PSU and my machine booted fine. Like someone else said, the turbo fan was extremely loud.

5 out of 5 eggsso far so good

Pros: power output looks to be stable. the modular cables are neither too long nor too short. both wires and connectors seem to be good quality, not cheap feeling. very quiet fan when in low mode.

Cons: fan on turbo is very loud. hasn't made me breakfast yet :(

Other Thoughts: using a mid tower case with 120mm fan in front and rear, input front and output rear. my cpu cooler (CoolerMaster Hyper TX2) pushes air over fins from front to rear. this eliminates need for turbo on psu. main power cable is sheathed and not 3 feet long as I have seen on other psu's. the connectors themselves connect pretty good, not so tight to need pliars to remove. overall I am very satisfied so far with this unit and may buy another in the near future.

4 out of 5 eggsQuite Pleased

Pros: 140mm depth will fit in smaller cases. Quiet fan. Turbo switch drops the GPU temp by 5C in my box but with much higher fan noise. Modular design cuts down cable clutter. Professional packaging and well finished.

Cons: Air is very warm at normal fan settings. Not 80 pus certified or PFC. Noisy in Turbo mode. Modular connectors don't lock in very well - can be yanked out with modest tug.

Other Thoughts: Great power supply for the money. Even better with the rebate. Much quieter than ny older unit with the 80mm fan on the back. I only needed two of the power cables - PCIe and one drive cable. Definitely cuts down on case clutter - I didn't have to dress out the remaining unused wires.
