Feature: 8 Independent Charging Circuits-The MH-C801D features EIGHT independent circuits that charge ONE to EIGHT AA or AAA batteries in any combination.
LCD Display-The MH-C801D charger incorporates a large LCD screen displaying the charging status of each battery. The English-language-based display (CHARGE, DONE, CONDITIONING, etc) replaces traditional LED indicators.
Selectable Soft and Rapid Charge Modes-The MH-C801D provides user with the option to choose between a soft charge and a fast charge mode. The soft charge delivers the highest battery life and allows 100% compatibility with older, lower capacity batteries. The fast charge allows eight batteries to be fully charged to their maximum capacity in around one hour!
Built-in Deep Battery Conditioning System-The Eight Cell charger is embedded with a high-rate battery conditioner that will charge, deep-discharge and recharge batteries automatically for maximum rejuvenation.
Precision Microprocessor Controlled-Maha Energy's team of engineers developed a brand new Eight Cell (0.001V resolution) microprocessor. This microprocessor will charge batteries to their maximum capacity without overcharging or undercharging. The new precision microprocessor assures maximum battery longevity. The MH-C801D delivers just the right charge every time!
Ultra Fast Recharge Time-Recharge in 1 hour regardless of number of batteries in normal mode. In Soft Charging Mode, recharges in two hours.

Pros: Fast charge in an hour (perfect for last minute needs), long lasting, charger conditions the batteries. Works great in the Sennheiser EW100 G2 wireless microphones, can get up to 5 hours vs 3 using alkaline. Perfect for toys (I have little boys). Also use them in my Logitech K350 and M510 keyboard\mouse combo. Cons: Slightly larger than standard batteries, putting them in a Crest SpinBrush toothbrush scrapes the sides and causes damage. Check to make sure you don't have a tight space. Other Thoughts: First unit was for home use, the second one was for the sound room I work in. We were spending a fortune on batteries for wireless mics. Other rechargeable batteries took to long if needed within two hours before production. Cons: Batteries are ~ 1 mm larger in diameter which makes it difficult to use them in tubular spaces such as wireless microphones. (I use Shure Beta B87s) Did you find this review helpful? Cons: Microscopic text in the led window. Impossible to load AAA batteries until you discover the "trick". Other Thoughts: In this technology age it's unbelievable that this is the best user interface they could come up with for their charger. It's like 80's technology again. Even my $12 mp3 player has a color led with readable text a even a usb port. It's very disappointing that this is about the best there is for battery chargers. Did you find this review helpful? The batteries come in a convenient storage case. Cons: The interface and instructions could be better. Though each battery is charged independently, they all must be charged the same way (fast, soft, condition). Other Thoughts: Though the price is high, remember your paying for the charger. I could have bought a charger from the grocery store for $15 but it would not be as reliable or charge as well as this. Price is absolutely worth it for anyone with a lot of batteries. Cons: Display sometimes difficult to read. We use them for audiovisual gear (wireless mics, portable Mp3 recorders, etc.) and they keep a long charge. The charger does an excellent job with the 1-hour charge function.
