Cons: -- Expensive, unless you can find a deal -- Don't like the bulky power supply
Other Thoughts: I purchased this exact model over two years ago from a speciality online retailer that focuses only on rechargeable batteries & equipment. It was one of their best chargers at the time and remains so. If you use a lot of rechargeables as I do (for photography, gadgets, and especially kids toys & Wii remotes), there truly isn't a better or more reliable charger. I've invested $300+ in scores of both long-life and standard NiMH rechargeables, mainly AA & AAA. Why would I trust them to a $20 charger?

Pros: -Choose between fast charge (about 1 hour) or soft charge (about 2 hours) -Able to charge 8 AA (or AAA) cells at a time without getting hot -Solid and well-built
Cons: -Display is not backlit -Display has a limited viewing angle -Some of the words on the display are a little small
Other Thoughts: I have used this charger for over a year and I highly recommend it. I have not had any of my cells die since I started using this charger.
If you have a lot of AA or AAA cells and want a charger that will get the most life out of your cells, then you should get this charger!

Pros: This is a great battery charger. I have owned for over a year now and am about to buy another one as a gift for someone.
Cons: Haven't noticed any issues.
Other Thoughts: We use powerex 2700 rechargable batteries for our electronic devices so have used this charger monthly over the last year. A couple hours and you are good to go for another month.
