Other Thoughts: I read a guide that advised another way to revive dead rechargeable batts is to put an extra 18volts across the battery.
But with this sweet unit, you won't need to try that trick.

Pros: The battery life of the included Powerex batteries absolutely stomp any of the "fancy" AA brands you can buy. They keep a charge for a -very- long time! I run these specifically in my digital camera doing long range shoots, and many night time photography sessions. Using flash, I can take several hundred pictures before I have to replace the batteries. I bought an extra 8=pack of the Powerex batteries, as well as an extra 4 pack, and keep 1 pair on the charger while I use the other 2 pairs in my carrying case.

Other Thoughts: You won't find anything better! You save a -ton- of money buying this setup, as opposed to constantly buying AA packs over and over again. There is no reason NOT to buy this!

Pros: Nice to have control over charging and to see the capacity of my batteries. Especially the batteries I use in my speedlite flash for photography.

Pros: This is the Porche of battery chargers. It has more whistles and bells than I will ever need. With the alkaline batteries that came with my camera I could barely fill a 4GB SDHC card before I needed to change the batteries. With the Powerex system I can fill a 16GB SDHC card and still have power to spare. The batteries also work great for wireless mice and keyboards.

This is what a charger is supposed to do. This is how current rechargeable batteries are supposed to be charged.

Cons: Price. If only more companies would build such a high quality product.

Pros: Charges rechargeable batteries. In fact it does more then that since it can condition them as well and run tests on them. It's multi function when it comes to rechargeable batteries.

Cons: Options are hard to decipher when reading the manual. Just takes playing with the unit to figure out. Once you start using it, you figure out what you want to do with it. Its not that complicated.

Other Thoughts: Charges and conditions my batteries just fine. Still learning the fine tuning of what level to charge the batteries at.

Pros: Im a photographer so I bought this charger so I could get maximum capacity out of my flashes
It was a nice surprise to see how much more capacity I got out of other brand rechargeables that seemed close to the end of their lives, after recycling.

Pros: Don't need to go over all the pro's, they have been stated over and over.

At work we have a recycling program for small batteries. Pulled a ton of recharagables that people put in the recycle containers because they were no holding a charging. Ran them through the reconditioning program and have reclaimed almost all the cells, very few were actually bad, just need reconditioning.... Tons of free recycled batteries, thanks to this charger...
