3 out of 5 eggsNo car kit included

Pros: The charge works fine. Two or four AA (or AAA) batteries are charge in tandem. You can select to have the existing charge drained before recharging.

Cons: No car kit - which I assumed to mean a cigarette type dc adaptor - came with the product. Customer service tells me that it this charger doesn't come with a car kit. Then why do they included "including car kit" in the ad? Go figure.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat improvment over alkaline

Pros: My old Fuji camera last much longer with these batteries than it ever did with any alkalines. The camera doesn't seem to drain these while sitting on the shelf for a week or two either like it did the regular batteries.

Cons: The charger does run pretty warm. I suppose that's why they sell a "cool" model.

Other Thoughts: This is my first set of rechargeable batteries in about 15 years, and I choose these after seeing so many positive reviews from here and other sites, so far they have been great.

5 out of 5 eggsmade in Japan

Pros: Fantastic charge, lasts for days in a Logitech G700 mouse without need for recharge under heavy/constant use. Good charger with conditioner function to extend battery life.

Cons: Lack of wall mounting option.

Other Thoughts: batteries are fantastic and hold a great charge, made in Japan so buy now and help the land of the rising sun. I have them powering my mouse, my camera, my 360 controllers and my PC controller, great batteries

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Two independent banks are a nice feature. Fast charging. The conditioning is nice to keep your batteries fresh if you charge a lot.

Cons: None really except the left bank went bad after 1.5 yrs.

Other Thoughts: Used this to charge my wireless headset and wireless 360 controller batteries. Had no trouble charging 1 set of AA and another set of AAA at the same time. This works as two charges in one unit. Replaced this unit with a Powerex MH-C401FS after it went bad. (39.99 w/4/2700mah)

5 out of 5 eggsPowerex rechargeable batteris

Pros: I find these rechargeable "AA" batteries to be extremely reliable and long lasting. I purchased a Powerex combo 2700mAh batteries with a Powerex charger, and on the slow charge these batteries have lasted 2-1/2 years with NO issues of lost charge. I use them in my Canon S3IS digital camera for 2-1/2 years and have let others try them in other Canon, Olympus, and Kodak digitals and they work great in those also. My Lenmars did not work in the Olympus models that were tried. Cost should not be an issue, you won't have the multiple purchases of "AA" batteries.

Cons: I found by trying multiple fast charges on these batteries the charge does not last as long, and they have burned out after a years use.

Other Thoughts: Fantastic batteries, I highly reccommend getting an extra set so you can charge the other set on a slow charge.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat combo for off-camera flash

Pros: The batteries work well with my Canon Speedlite 430EX. With these batteries, my flash recycles instantly. I'm a casual photographer. I first tried to drain the batteries but they never seemed to die - used the flash one day, let the batteries sit around a few other days, used it again. I gave up waiting for the batteries to die before the Powerex batteries gave up. I had to recharge them for a shoot.

The charger can discharge and recharge. The box description says it conditions and rejuvenates. I used the function with some old batteries and it certainly took its time, seems to be doing what it says.

Cons: I was hoping the charger could save some of my really old NiMH batteries. They are a lost cause though and can't hold a charge for their life.

Other Thoughts: I purchased these batteries based on reviews elsewhere and a friend's recommendation.

If I pick up another flash unit or start playing an old-school Game Boy, I'll buy another set of Powerex batteries. If I had a ton of battery-powered equipment, I'd buy another one of these kits.

With proper maintenance and the occasional refreshing, I trust these Powerex batteries to last for years. Great combo and I recommend this investment to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper product

Pros: Very reliable. I have charged batteries hundreds of times over the past four years without damaging any.

Can discharge batteries prior to a complete recharge.

Cons: Once, in a hotel, it seemed to get confused with the power outlet polarity. I expect the jack at the hotel was wired wrong.

Some units may be a bit faster. Not a problem for me.

Other Thoughts: My family have depended on this for all our battery recharges over the past four years. It has been a great product. I would buy one again in an instant.

This was the third charger that I have owned. The first two were not acceptable. The Powerex batteries are first rate too, although I use Sanyo Eneloop now.
