It has worked well so far

Pros: Given it's price it has worked out well so far. Apparently nobody here uses SAS or you'd realize that the second SATA connector is for SAS controllers. They utilize two SATA connectors for one SAS drive. So far it's worked well with Perc 5/i and 5/ir.

Cons: Not the best build quality but considering the price, that's kind of a given.

Good but wrong power plug

Pros: Works great and doesn't make to much noise. Putting the drive in and taking it out is very easy.

Cons: This has a 7 pin sata plug instead of a 15 sata plug. The instructions show and talk about a 15 pin sata plug. Fortunately there is also a molex plug. However, this seems like a major manufacturing mistake and makes me wonder how long this thing will last. The mistake seems to have existed for at least 5 months judging by the reviews. Why hasn't this been corrected.

Other Thoughts: This is fairly cheap and the only reason for the 3 rating was for the power plug.

SATA power connector all wrong

Tech Level: high - Ownership: less than 1 day

Pros: Cheap, does the job if you have molex power connectors available.

Cons: Where the 15-pin SATA power connector is supposed to be there is a second 7-pin SATA data connector (?!). You can see it in the images; it's the yellow connector. The pamphlet "manual" shows that's where the 15-pin SATA power connector is supposed to be. This has got to be an error in manufacturing. I have molex power connectors available so I'm not going to cry too much but this is stupid. That's why I'm only giving it two eggs.
