5 out of 5 eggsThis is absolutely the best!

Pros: This is the small hub I have been looking for for a very long time. The price was reasonable. The things I like so well are: (1) not putting so much wear on my usb connectors, (2) total control over what information is at risk, and (3)quick access to my information. Everyone should know that passwords are great but not absolute. However, when you have a good password and the power cut off to a drive, I think you have the ultimate in security while not using a drive. The only thing better would be if it was totally unplugged. I use about 8 different drives many times each during each day. With this hub, I can leave them in place in the hub ports, switch the desired port on, use the drive and then turn it back off without removing it. If I should forget to turn one off, the port tattle tale lite will alert me. When the switch to a particular port is turned off, that drive is not visible in My Computer. I, also, don't have to scramble around looking for the drive I want. If one is missing, I know it right away with just one quick glance! Being a powered hub is just the other requirement that I always have. This hub certainly has my respect. There are others that have similar characteristics but are not nearly as nice as this design. I will definitely be ordering more of this particular design.

Cons: I haven't found a thing wrong with this gadget yet!

2 out of 5 eggsMany Problems

Pros: Switches work most of the time.
USB 2.0 works most of the time.
Works good for charging devices.

Cons: USB 3.0 dose not work with this device! Sometimes ONE device with USB 3.0 will work, never more then ONE USB 3.0 at a time will work on the HUB.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of Junk ! ! ! ! !

Pros: It has buttons. You can pretend those buttons actually work. Can be used as a paper weight !

Cons: Poorly built product, you can tell it's a cheap manufacturing job from the moment you open the box. I've only used it for 2 days and the second button from the end is stuck. And it keeps losing connectivity to Windows. Unfortunately, I waited too long to start using it, so I am out of my time period to RMA back to Newegg. So, I am stuck dealing with the shady manufacturer that wants the item shipped back to California - I am in New York which means I am out of a product for a month by the time all is said and done. I would say the word "Junk" is too good of word to describe this worthless item.

Other Thoughts: Did I mention it's a piece of junk ?

1 out of 5 eggsLooks Great, Doesn't play well with others

Pros: Like the option to power only the ports you want. Looks good

Cons: Doesn't like a mix of 2.0 and 3.0 devices. will not see my Seagate external 3.0 3TB hard drives.

Other Thoughts: had such high hopes for this device, yet was let down by its inability to let 2.0 and 3.0 devices to coexist.

1 out of 5 eggsDead

Pros: 7 USB-3 ports w/on-off switches

Cons: One usb port works, all others are dead. I bought 2 of these, will see how no.2 is tomorrow, and exercise in frustration.

Other Thoughts: Would be great if it actually worked.

2 out of 5 eggsNice Idea, Poor Execution

Pros: 7 individually switched USB ports...

Cons: Frequently disconnects when transferring files, even if only one USB device is plugged in. Tried with several brands of drives, as well as 2.0 and 3.0 drives, and they all lose connection at some point. Using Win7 Pro w/ on board 3.0 USB.
