1 out of 5 eggsNever Again

Pros: None

Cons: This thing is 100% Junk. It looked nice & was cheap so I bought it, but sure enough, I plugged it in and received the error "USB Device Not Recognized". I tried it on another Laptop and still didn't work. After calling the manufacturer, I quickly realized I made a bad decision and should have went with a better product because they wouldn't even let me talk to someone, they said for me to email them & so I did that and they couldn't give me a solution. EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED WITH THIS PRODUCT!!!

2 out of 5 eggs2 ports only work intermittently

Pros: cheap

Cons: 2 ports don't work well at all. plug in a device, and maybe it shows up, maybe not.

Other Thoughts: i'm going to buy another one to replace it, not reliable enough

2 out of 5 eggsI would work well... if it's Vista compitable

Pros: Simple to do. No installation, just plug in and play. Small and ideal for the laptop.

Cons: When I first plugged it in, it could not recogize the device. In a few seconds, it was "found" but as an "unknown device". I input my flash drive into the USB hub but it didn't work.

It is basically because I have Vista and on the package it only works with Windows 98, 2000, 2003, and XP.

Other Thoughts: I personally would have given it a 3, but sadly I don't have Vista users to be a victim of this.

5 out of 5 eggsEFFECTIVE, EASY

Pros: Hardest part is opening the package
You can access/use all 4 ports no matter what the configuration of plug

Cons: Blue light is on constantly

Other Thoughts: I have two. One gives me additional ports on my Mac that I lost due to an unfortunate attachment to Microsoft keyboards.
The second brings the USB ports on my old PC out of the crawl space behind my desk and into convenience. Now I'm sharing files via my flash drive with ease

4 out of 5 eggsWorks for me .. x2

Pros: Cheap. Bus powered. Small. USB 2.0.

Cons: Cheap. Cable is probably not long enough for some users - great for me though. Bus-powered may not be enough power in all cases (true for most bus powered hubs) - thus the weakness is not being able to plug in an external power source, if you really need it.

Other Thoughts: I bought one of these 4 or 5 months ago and it has worked flawlessly since I got it. It was an excellent use of $8. I just bought a second one for a second computer. I found that the USB speakers used by that second computer did not play nicely with the hub, although other devices do. I suspect that, although bus-powered, not enough power is getting through the hub to the speakers. These hubs are cheap, but they work so far and I hate the idea of spending more than ten bucks on a hub like this. I'm satisfied so far.

4 out of 5 eggsShort cord

Pros: Works well, takes up little space.

Cons: Cord way too short.

Other Thoughts: My USB ports are on the back of my tower. The cord is so short that I have to keep the hub on top of the tower in the middle because it won't reach any further. Would have been nice to keep it on my desk but that isn't possible.

3 out of 5 eggsWorked for a couple of weeks ... then died...

Pros: I like the color and it doesn't cost much.

Cons: Worked for a couple of weeks and now it fails to be recognized as USB 2.0 compliant device when I plug it into my laptop or pc.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for...

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: I was looking for a powered hub for my multiple devices, and I found this wonderful device. Not only is does it add 4 (3 technically) more ports, but it's powered. I have a printer, a camera docking station with charging abilities, a G15 Keyboard with the LCD, a headset connecting through the G15, and a G7 mouse, all on one hub. Perfect for X dollars

Cons: I ordered two ports, and in one of the ports was some kind of glue or sealant material. It all came out, but it worries me a little.

Other Thoughts: Newegg got it to me ASAP. The package was caught during the end of the weekend, but I received it in short order. Thanks Newegg!
