4 out of 5 eggsGreat bargain!

Pros: For the price, a great product. As a distributor of custom adult products and videos this is a great unit. Fits SATA drives nicely and it's square shape makes for easy packaging for distribution.

Cons: None that I can think of. I have had no complaints regarding this product.

Other Thoughts: If you are going to have private material and don't want it on your PC this is a great product. You use your own drive and are able to custom make your portable device.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Cheap. But you get what you pay for.

Cons: eSata jack is actually just plain sata; does not work with my eSata expressCard. Shoddy internal connections require bending cables, which stresses joints internally. Drives stop operating randomly after brief usage.

Other Thoughts: This enclosure seems to be severely susceptible to RF interference. Once when I was trying to transfer ~40GB between two identical drives, the Sabrent encl. kept dismounting after about 5GB. My cell phone contacts a tower about every 10 mins. (as noted by speaker buzz). I eventually observed the transfer failing at the moment I heard speaker buzz from my cell phone.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for the price

Pros: It does everything you need it to. Easily recognized in both my XP and Vista machines...

Cons: It gets REALLY hot...and also the power supply sometimes is finicky and becomes unplugged. It takes some wiggling to get it working again.

Other Thoughts: Overall it does what its suppose to do. But don't expect to just leave it on all the time with your computer...It gets too hot to do that. (I might drill some holes into the case so maybe the heat can escape the enclosure, because there really isn't any way for it to escape right now)

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid at all costs.

Pros: Easy installation, hilarious manual.

Cons: Worthless. I bought 3 for use with 320GB Seagates. Windows kept throwing up a "Delayed Write Failure" popup. Turns out the DRIVE WAS OVERHEATING! The power supply is a joke. Two died within the first week. The plastic on the end melted off and pealed away. The stand is useless, as it doesn't grip the drive. The drivers CD doesn't include drivers for this model; and they aren't on Sabrent's website! AVOID THIS MODEL AT ALL COSTS!

Other Thoughts: The manual was the only good part. Some absolutely priceless lines in it...".Take Extreme cautions When Whopping Your Harddrive ." is an actual quote. It's almost worth the purchase price just for the manual...almost.

1 out of 5 eggsWipes out HDD

Pros: None

Cons: No cooling fans - Lost a 320GB Sata II drive in under 1 hour of operation because of overheating. This turned out to be an expensive lesson. Even if the drive manufacturer says that the drive runs cool, when you put it in a closed container with no air flow it will get very hot.

2 out of 5 eggsHOT HOT!!!

Pros: Sleek design and easy installation.

Cons: Man do they get hot. No internal fans and literally melted the plastic on them. Also the power connectors are not very secure. They fall out very easily.

Other Thoughts: Consider another enclosure.
