The new generation of power supplies has arrived with Antec’s TruePower Trio series. The three +12V rails allow you to distribute your power more evenly, which will result in a more stable system. This 650 Watt that gives you serious power for even the most cutting edge components. The Active PFC design and 120 mm low noise fan provide reduced vibration, lower noise emission, efficient cooling, and incredibly enhanced performance. Universal Input and ATX12V v2.0 compliance ensures that you can use the TP3-650 almost anywhere.
Your TP3-650 will be around for a long time to come, with an MTBF of 80,000+ hours. With one main connector (20 + 4 pin), one 12V (P4), one 12V (8pin), seven peripheral, four SATA, two floppy, and two PCI-E connectors you can wire in all of the necessary pieces for a killer PC. Industrial grade components provide stable and unflappable output and protection against power and voltage surges. It sports three +12V output (12V1, 12V2, 12V3), which allow support for the most high-end of PC systems. You even have Fan Only power connectors (which allow it to control case fan speeds, thereby reducing system noise) and gold-plated connectors (for superior conductivity).
The Antec TruePower Trio perfectly handles dual processors, dual graphics cards, and just about anything else you can throw at it. A real gift to the high-end, multi-card systems (it’s SLI-ready!), you need this now!

Solid PSU
- Pros: This PSU has been great. I've used a multimeter to test voltage output during both idle and load, and the readings on all rails (3.3V, 5V, and 12V) stay steady with very little change.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: I'm in a non-SLI setup, with a dual-core Athlon64 5200, the DFI AM2 motherboard, 2x 1GB OCZ Platinum, 1X eVGA 8800GTS, 2X 320GB SATA HDDs. This power supply could handle much more than what I have.
Solid Antec Reliability
- Pros: Fits right in the same spot my old Antec 430 Truepower PSU was in, runs very quiet, has a huge internal fan, has connectors for every possible device (some connectors are labeled too like the PCIe ones and the Fan-Only ones), has long, sleeved cables
- Cons: I read some of he horror stories a few people posted about the power supply meltdowns after running it for only an hour or two - no idea how that could happen unless they plugged connectors into wrong sockets (like put too many Fans on the two Fan-Only wires - or maybe plugged the Fan Only wires into their Hard Drives or something else more demanding). I have not noticed ANY PROBLEMS whatsoever.
- Other Thoughts: My system: Athlon 64 X2 4400+, Gigabyte GA-K8N nForce4ultra Mobo, nVidia 8800GTX, 2GB Kingston HyperX DDR-RAM....The Antec 650 PSU connectors fit perfectly into all required sockets

Good, DEPENDABLE, power supply
- Pros: -lives up to it's reputation
-very quiet fan -trouble free operation for over a year -affordable price
- Cons: NONE.
- Other Thoughts: I thank you NEWEGG. Another one of your products just arrived, and like all the other times, I can't be more impressed with the products you carry and your reliability !
I thank you NEWEGG, once again !
Still Running
- Pros: This thing has been running rock solid for me since Dec. 2006. I figured I'd just throw out some props to a solid PSU - at least for me.
- Cons: A little light on Molex connectors, but I have stuff going on all over the case. For the average user this shouldn't be an issue.
- Other Thoughts: System specs - C2D X6800, Intel BDX2, 4GB Corsair XMS2, HIS HD 4850, WD 250GB SataII, 5 120mm Yate Loons, Swiftech pump, and a couple of mutant mods light bars.
I think in the future I will go modular. This PSU has been great and I've yet to have any problems due to funky power. Where I live it we get power outages. I didn't put a UPS (with AVR) in front of it for a while and it survived several outages and what not. Antec isn't a top tier brand, but they are a good bang-for-the-buck brand that gives you a reliable product.
No more Antec for me
- Pros: As it died after 4 months of installation and 2 months of use, I can't think of anything good to say about it.
- Cons: Not modular. Smells bad after burning up.
- Other Thoughts: This is the second Antec power supply I've owned in 13 months. The first one (Antec NeoPower 650) died after 8 months. Unfortunately, the one I replaced it with (Antec True Power Trio TP3-650) had an even shorter life span. I don't leave my machine running constantly and up until this past weekend, it had been powered down for almost 2 months. It was running like a champ for about 3 days and then all of the sudden it went out in a cloud of ozone.
