1 out of 5 eggsCables too short

Pros: Works as advertised. Box-like quality that reminds me of minecraft.

Cons: In my ordinary setup the 20/24-pin mainboard power connector is a very tight reach and the ATX 12v connector does not reach.

Other Thoughts: I am normally pleased by Antec power supplies; All I needed was a basic power supply, but I still need the cables to reach.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Liquidthex,

We understand your frustration. Which case do you have? all our standard ATX PSU has the standard length measurement for the 24pin connector. This problem can be easily fixed with a 24pin extender. A lot of these can be found here for as little as $3.59

Thanks,

Antec Support Team

5 out of 5 eggsStill going

Pros: Provided enough power for a general use rig.
Still going today (3 years later).

Cons: Cords where a little short for a case with the PSU on the bottom, had to do a little modding but was my fault for not paying attention.

Other Thoughts: Used in a consumer general use rig.

4 out of 5 eggsgood psu short cables

Pros: well it is a good solid PSU. I love antec for thier reliability and quality.

Cons: well I got this for a new build bottom mount case. Sorry cables are just way to short to hook up the motherboard. will be ok for a top mount but NOT FOR BOTTOM MOUTN PSU.

Other Thoughts: I will just put this power supply in a top mounted case I just didnt want to spend a lot but didnt notice the short cable. My fault I just pulled a EA 380 out of my HTPC and put this one in the EA-380 has cable long enough for a bottom mouth

3 out of 5 eggsdecent

Pros: Works well with an older processor (AMD 64 Athlon x2 2.4 ghz)

Cons: Low power. New motherboard and processor need 500 watts.

Other Thoughts: What's this meshugaas about "dead after one month"!?!?!

4 out of 5 eggsLong Lasting.

Pros: I used one for 6 years no problem. I would still be using it but the motherboard died and I gave the system away.

Cons: After about 2 years, the fan got to where it needed oil. We fixed that once and it ran fine until I got rid of the system. That's why I only gave it 4 eggs.

Other Thoughts: Note the product is designed for older computers as it lacks SATA. However, it is very good for older machines.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat replacement for a dead PSU

Pros: Over the last five years, I've probably purchased/installed 30-35 of these for various clients. I haven't had a single problem. This is a quality replacement for when one of those garbage OEM power supplies in your uncle's eMachine takes a dive.

Cons: I've never had a problem installing this in run of the mill Gateways, Dells, eMachines, etc... but the cable runs are shorter than most enthusiast level power supplies. Look elsewhere if you have larger mid / full tower case.

Other Thoughts: I try to pick a couple of these up every time there is a good sale. You pay for the quality at full retail price, but this is an excellent value when discounted.
